Galahs, sulphur crested parrots, long billed correllas, echidna, roo in top paddock, ( goes for me too! LOL). The only thing that has it in for me, is a magpie that is protective of his area. I live in the "Little Desert" area in Victoria. Rural. On acres. I've seen 3 brown snakes, lots of redbacks. That's it. Redbacks are very shy. Not at all aggressive. Got lots of huntsman, but they are great for catching bugs. Probably many things that could hurt me are around. Worst thing was being bitten by a goanna. Getting it away from my dog. Everyone bit everything, I think. All 3 of us had to have antibiotics. Yes, I took the lizard to the vet too. LOL.

I have encountered Min Min lights. Driving near Edenhope Victoria. Driving a tray back truck at 100 kilometres per hour we saw a light moving around a paddock next to the road. I thought it was someone doing donuts with a big spotlight on their roof. All of a sudden this basketball size light appeared at my drivers window , no more than a metre away for 15 seconds while I maintained a steady speed. Then it went into the tray of the truck between the tool boxes and seemed to be looking through the back window. Then it went to the passenger window for about a minute and then it took off at a speed I have never seen so fast into the distance. This was about 25 years ago. I still remember as clear as the day it happened. I have shared this story, but folks think I’m bull shitting. At least I had a witness with me.

I have called Australia home for 41 years. My only misadventure with Australia's 'deadly creatures' was a bite by a centipede of Christmas Island, an overseas territory of Australia. Locals applied an antidote (made of vinegar-soaked centipedes themselves) and the pain went away in minutes. A well-known surfer attacked by a shark went back to the surf within days. I never know of AUSTRALIA being in F-E-A-R. It's a mystery to me.

We still have trap door spiders in Australia. When we were kids we used to swap their "doors" around, drop a grain of sand down their hole then watch them either struggle to pull the door shut or watch it fall in on their head. Mount Kaputar is pronounced mount cap you tar(kaputar) I'm an Aussie, none of what I saw is scary at all. Try catching a red bellied black snake, they are feisty buggers, brown snakes are a little easier to catch, just put a black snake bag in front of a scared brown, it will go straight in most times.

Why don't you pronounce words properly, like we do in England? How we pronounce English words is correct, even if the spelling might indicate differently.

@@johndownes3841I think you've confused Australians for Americans...they are the ones who don't/ can't pronounce English words properly...and Shire can be pronounced shire or shere...it just depends on if you use it as a single word (then it's shire), but if it's part of a word, for example Worcestershire then it's pronounced shere... just because you are English doesn't mean you know how to use it correctly.😊✌️

Dude, your vider is incorrect. Aboriginies were not around when these prehistoric marsupials were in australia. Aboriginals have been here between 40 & 50 thousand years not millions of years so they would not have interacted with these dinosaurs at all.
