When I was a teen in the 90's, I remember him saying "I'm not a basketball player, I'm a businessman". That quote always stuck with me. I was a kid, Shaq was my favorite player and he was superhuman and a hero to me but in that one quote, I realized that he's just a person like anyone else. It helped me grow up in a sense. It also made me question every pro athlete and look at them differently.
