Every year, ppl try and get the perfect bracket, just for upsets and wild moments, and I’m sure ppl would love to play that. 2K would be able to bring massive changes to there basketball game along with the proper atmosphere, let alone the hype that guys like a Zion had, sharife cooper, jelly fam and being able to use those type of guys in game.

While in Europe we see several small teams or those in semi-professional leagues reaching the professional leagues, in the US we see completely rigid leagues where small teams never reach the minor leagues and big teams never get relegated to the minor leagues. I don't know how the American public can find frozen leagues attractive, when will we see a TripleA/AHL/UFL team being promoted to the main league and, with one of the smallest budgets, being champion, like Leicester?

EA wants exclusivity because they know that if the NFL opens up the license and 2K competes with EA, 2K will blow them out of the water. For the simple reason that a 2K football game from TWO DECADES AGO, is better than anything Madden has put out in the last decade

My tinfoil hat theory is that 2k was developing the core of a football game that can be modified to simulation. They would put out the arcade version and if able have a sim game the next year or two. My tinfoil hat's tinfoil hat theory is that the nfl told 2k that they weren't going to sign with EA and only signed the deal back then so they could prepare a sim game in 27. EA will never lose the exclusive license and Madden has seen it's best days 20 years ago. It will never reach what it was in 2004-2008. Those were the best Madden games, can't tell me different, go look at all of the features we lost and still don't have access to. The fact that NFL puts their logo on any other game has to mean something. I understand the other games aren’t “simulation” but before 2020 there were 0 other games with nfl teams/players and now there’s 6 games (including nba 2k with nfl players). Even Roblox has a nfl game. That to me says they’re at least willing to try something new. Also it’s only been 4 years since 2k signed a deal with the nfl and if they’re writing completely new code for their AI, it takes even longer than that to make a competent game. Madden has been making football games since the 80s and still barely can get the cpu to react properly.
