He was overthinking everything through the first 2 months of the season and it highlighted his shortcomings more than is normal. I think he will have a really good summer with watching game tape, seeing what he’s done wrong, relaxing, and working on some specific things (shooting, the floater, and where/when to attack off the dribble), and I think he’ll take a solid step forward next year. Still a work in progress though, obviously.

As a Blazers fan, I really want it to work out for the kid (and he is a kid… or pretty close). But in reality, I think he’s probably going to be a “good” player but probably not a multiple all-star. But I’d love to be wrong. But the bust talk is just ridiculous. Especially at this early point of his career.

They’re so guard heavy and he needs the ball. No wonder he’s struggling. The mix of vets and young players while good in theory, just isn’t what the team needs right now. Since he can’t catch and shoot, They need scoot with the ball 35 min game and sharpe getting as many shots as possible. Once they develop then you get the vets.
