Scoot is certainly no Dame Dollar yet, but in time he could be an all-star guard.

He easily has an all-star floor if he can attack the hoop more efficiently and consistently. He'll easily get 25ppg just being ablet to drive at the hoop and draw fouls because he's got a muscular frame to finish strong against bigs guarding the rim. But reaching top 10 player level like Dame has done with his overall offense is going to be a wait and see deal.

Scoot needs a killer 3pt game and post-up game so that he will be the go-to in deep playoff runs, At the moment, he's like a combo of Kyrie-Westbrook-Kemba. He's going to be a solid all-star. People will love his mature dribble-drive game but his potential is to be a legit superstar.

Agreed. To be a top point guard in the league today, you have to diversify your scoring. Unless you are Kyrie or CP3 or KD or Demar, the majority of your shots should not be mid rangers. We already see that even guys like Kemba, the minute they lose an ounce of athleticism, the mid ranger becomes way less consistent since you can’t generate space as easily. Guys like Luka who take bad 3 point attempts often, still is one of the most efficient post up players in the league. Scoot has to get better at his finishing at the rim and at least spot up three point shooting to become an all star rather than a Markelle Fultz

Too early to say they haven’t even played yet. Brandon Miller has a ceiling somewhere between MPJ and Jayson Tatum maybe close to Tatum level. There is a reason he went number 2 just wait until he adds some strength in the weight room and gains experience before judging him too harshly I would’ve taken Scoot but I don’t think they made a bad pick necessarily let’s see how it plays out

Vertically Scoot is clearly more explosive but I think Chris, idk if he was physically quicker, but with a basketball in a game I think he was harder to keep out of the paint And he finished 28% of his shots at the rim his first four years so that's not just me going off memory. (Ja is 33% in a much more spaced out game.) I'm just pointing out that Chris was also very athletic at 19

to be honest this raised some slight red flags, he definitely has crazy athletic gifts and diverse skill set but frankly he doesn’t excel at a lot outside of his athleticism giving him a advantage beating guys and creating shots and advantages, which is great, but in a small frame he’ll really need either a great rim attack, or a really damn good mid to 3 game, if he struggles in the nba I could see that and the defense being underwhelming. It does seem like he’s got the right mentality to improve I just think there’s a chance it takes him a few years to really hit his stride, I guess especially for young small guards that’s common but given the hype I felt it needed to be said
