I think for the most part these points are fair, but I think you missed something. With introverts you can have a security job with low person to person interaction if you get involved in cloud security. A lot of cloud jobs, security included, can be fully remote where most of your interaction will be via email. Also the point about sometimes working odd hours depends on your position. If you work at a 24/7 SOC that does shift work the odds that you're getting called in when you're off work are very minimal because there's a team there 24/7. I do agree that security is probably the most stationary job in most cases though. I'd even argue that along with networking regular System Administrators move more to go do physical checks on servers depending on the size of the operation. Keep up the good work.

Hey Tom, I'm so glad I found your channel! I really appreciate all your insights. I don't have much of a background in IT, but I'm really interested in cybersecurity. One thing I'm finding really overwhelming is all the different terms and acronyms. I've started a couple of basic free certifications, and every time I start a new topic, it throws me like four or five new words that I have to look up. The vocabulary in cybersecurity can be crazy! What do you recommend I do to learn all these terms? And how can I know if I'm on the right track?

Hello Tom! I just finished Google Cert and now im thinking what I should do next. I was thinking between CompTia Sec+ or Blue team lvl 1. Im the guy which learn most in practice/doing things. That’s why Im confused a little bit right know which way to go. I know Comptia cert is more desirable for employees but blue team cert is more hands-on apparently. What should I do?
