I had just started middle school when Pantera put out Cowboys From Hell back in 1990, and I have loved Pantera ever since big time. Eddie Van Halen in my opinion is the greatest guitar player ever, and he changed the world forever when Van Halen 1 came out. Dimebag Darrell in my opinion is the last guitar player to be a huge influence on many guitar players and bands. I never got to see Van Halen in concert, but I was lucky enough to see Pantera three times in the mid 90's all the way up to 2000. Both Eddie Van Halen and Dimebag deserve the respect and recognition that they get. Van Halen could never continue without Eddie Van Halen, and Pantera could never continue without Dimebag. They were both that extremely important to their bands. Their music will live on forever because it is way too Iconic. Rest In Peace Eddie Van Halen and Dimebag Darrell!! Dimebag and Vinnie are buried side by side not far from where I live, and having gotten my start with VH with the second album, it's a bit odd for me to think that "that" guitar is down there. One thing I've noticed on my visits is that you typically don't get much time alone, as there's a semi-steady flow of fans parking and making the walk to their final resting places to pay their respects. For those whose sensibilities are in that direction, Amber Hagerman is buried in the same cemetery. You may not know who she was, but those alerts you get about missing children bear her name.

Several years ago there were reports of headstones and markers for CSA veterans being stolen as well as ones for Union soldiers. I visited Jimi Hendrix's grave site 30 years before he was reburied under the monument his father had constructed. I was very young at the time, 1972, and all that was there was a simple, small marker.

Only someone taken over by darkness can be driven to those extreme actions. What's more, talking about them in the media only feeds into their fantasy for many of them, and they hope they will be glorified. I find it comical how he said a fan killed him. Obviously wasn’t a fan

enraged fan. The original story of dimes death and what set the guy off to the point of murder. Phil destroyed the band, Phil ran his mouth about kicking Vinny and Dimes ass, in an interview and this is what started the rage.

No. They aren’t. That’s a lie we tell ourselves to sleep better at night. Their lives were the important thing, not a fiction about what happens after.

I'm not a fan or a hater, but my god. The man just died. Why do they need to make so many videos about the one person?

@@RikDog91 In order to make money off of two dead men who don't deserve to have their namesake slandered by some greedy asshole who lies about the stuff. It's obvious that most do not care about anything but profiting from something they shouldn't be getting anything from. The page is a joke.

My top 2 favourite guitarists, and that's no bullsh*t. Van halen giving dime bumblebee was probably the coolest thing I'd ever heard in my entire life on this planet. RIP to 2 icons.

This is actually a kinda tough video to get through. Such beloved musicians who really left a giant impact on my life. Ntm to mention two of them are guitar gods who I thought would live forever, and in a way still do due to their great music they put out. That music and spirit will never die, long after all of us are dead and gone. So rest easy,God bless and RIP Dimebag,Eddie, and Vinnie Paul. Kinda crazy how even Eddie was taken too soon, but Dimebag and Vinnie grew up listening to Van Halen and both brothers passed away almost or more than ten years before the older guitar God. So glad that Dimebag loved Eddie so much, and that they got to meet each other and really hit it off and became friends. And that story about Eddie making and giving Dimebag a guitar is a very heartfelt story. A gift from a legend to an icon. There must be some amazing jam sessions in heaven.
