Useless in the real world. This is not the movies. KZbin low level overweight MMA fighter beating the hell out of top kung fu masters of china and the world in matter of seconds. Why? because he learn to actually fight while the opponent is trying to punch his head or take him down to the ground, instead of spending years practicing choreographed hand movements while the opponent is slowly moving their hand to your face.

You will never see that fight. Unless an MMA fighter decides to jump a monk one day. And if that happen. I guess we will find out that you are wrong. There is no way a pampered western civilization dude that has trained MMA for 5 or 10 years because they liked that specific anime when they were a kid. Is actually beating someone who has dedicated their life to understand the elements that we don't see. Sure, if the MMA dude actually gets a shot in, he might do some shock surprise "damage". But i don't believe one second that an MMA fighter will either get a hit or be able to out do a shaolin warrior monk. The difference in those two would be the ability to recieve damage without being hurt. The MMA fighter might have a hard shell as well. But they aren't trained from they are kids with sticks, bricks and rocks to harden them selves. There is a big chance that the Shaolin monk won't even feel a thing if the MMA fighter gets a blow in.

@@gargoyled_drake It's all about conditioning... If the monk prepared for the fight then he can win... But if not, he can not win against greater/more skilled opponent... Monks is human too, some really great and have superb skill, some are not... And that's okay... That's life..
