4:36 The only problem I have with that, is that especially for a game like Mario Party, all of the people in the room would need to find a flat surface in order to use the mouse. Other than that this one leak has actually made me super hype for the switch two. I’ve been sitting and waiting for some new gimmick that might actually be feasible, and this seems simple yet revolutionary. (PS: Nice Mando and Grogu LEGO sets. I have the same ones in my desk 😎)

personally i would love to play shooters with it, im not huge on gyro controls for aiming and prefer mouse and keyboard so i think it would still be a fun feature in splatoon in metroid for those who want to do it, its not like they would require it.

With a new Metroid Prime or Splatoon game, having to use the controllers face buttons wouldn’t be a problem if the controllers were just bigger. If they were substantially bigger than the switch 1 joycon then there wouldn’t be any issue with comfort (using the joycon already is uncomfortable). Also, mice normally have side buttons that people press with their thumbs, even some that have 12 side buttons, and the same type of action could be done if using the right joycon as a mouse. I personally think that it is very limiting to be forced to use a desk with your switch just to use mouse mode though.

For your problems with Splatoon, its not like they would just get rid of gyro, it would just be an extra way to play, it would be great for the series and Nintendo as it would bring fans of traditional shooters and get them into the game

4:28, that won't work because usually people connect it to the TV and play with family or friends. and there is no flat surface, and buying a controller is a lot cheaper, people definitely aren't going to buy 4 different sets of joy cons.

After they announced The main gimmick of the switch to internally magically sakurai decides to assist in finishing up the DLC for smash and release a massive KZbin channel after filming everything. He also started dropping hints to his desire for working on a sequel to kid Icarus. All these statements were made on his KZbin channel that was filmed a very long time ago. Are you telling me that you genuinely do not believe that sakurai gets what he wants and that a mouse like joy-con will not be involved in the game he's always wanted to make Also, the original rumored name of the switch 2 was the connect. There are now two USB ports. One is specifically stated by leaks to be charging in connection to the dock for higher power. The second has been specifically stated to be for attaching things or connecting things. Do you really think there won't be an attachment for the joy-con to make it a more comfortable mouse? The guys at Nintendo have definitely had 3D printers. I will guarantee you we will see some super interesting stuff

I’m gonna guess you’re not big on pc fps games so using a mouse competitively might sound unnecessary or over the top. Or in your case, overly complicated. TBH when I first saw the mouse sensor, Splatoon was the very first game to came to mind specifically for the accuracy that comes with mouse/keyboard. It doesn’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s something there for everyone’s play style. You wouldn’t be obligated to make use of it, but it would at least be an option for those who find it easier or more familiar with what they’re used to

The Switch 2 will probably be revealed on January 22nd. Rumours say the console will have a 9 in the launch title and that could be Mario Kart 9. It could launch with 32 tracks and no crossover characters and get DLC packs, adding crossover characters and double up the tracks to 48. It’s weird that the Blue Falcon is in the series but Captain Falcon isn’t. So why don’t they come in form of the DLC? I want them to ditch the metal characters, Cat Peach, Tanooki Mario, Peachette, the Blooper Item and Coin Item, make the Koopalings alts for Bowser Jr., the baby characters alt’s for each other, Dry Bowser an alt for Bowser, bring the Fake Item Box, Mega Mushroom, Pow Block, Super Leaf and the Ice Flower back, add commentary as the Arcade GP series has it, bring Mission Mode back as it was supposed to return in Wii and add Professor E. Gadd since he was going to be in DS, and by October, we could get Super Mario Journey. By March 2026, we could get a new 3D Kirby game, possibly a sequel to Forgotten Land. We could get to see playable Elfilin and Clawroline for the first time and they could bring back the Dream Palace Allies as well. Halfway through 2026, we could get Splatoon 4 and Pikmin 5, considering a 3 year gap between Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4, by September, we could get a new Zelda game, considering a 2 year gap between Breath of the Wild, Link’s Awakening remake and Skyward Sword HD, and by the end of the year, we could get Super Smash Bros. Legends and hopefully they’ll ditch World of Light, bring Subspace Emissary back and update the movesets of some characters. We could get Super Mario Maker 3, Luigi’s Mansion 4, Super Mario Galaxy 3 and a successor to Super Mario Party Jamboree by 2027 as it’s been 5 years since we had Super Mario Maker 2 and Luigi’s Mansion 3. They could add a Mario Wonder game style to Super Mario Maker 3 so 3D World isn’t just the extra game style and they could bring the Amiibo costumes and the Weird Mushroom back, for Luigi’s Mansion 4, the game could be in an Airbnb and we might get to see Luigi save Daisy for the first time in the series and for the successor to Jamboree, everyone from the previous Mario Party entries could return like how everyone returned for Smash Ultimate. By 2028, we could get a new Paper Mario game, considering a 4 year gap between The Origami King and the TTYD remake. I hope the console sells well and has 4K and 60 FPS. I probably won’t get it day one, or maybe not at all. I might wait for Smash Legends to be announced and then get the console with Mario Kart and get other games later on.

Okay, I think that Metroid could work ONLY IF they put a mouse case (kinda like the WII/Joycon wheels) that you can put your Joycon in to make it more like a mouse, with the buttons clicking the shoulder buttons and some side buttons for the face buttons. But, I think since splatoon is multiplayer, it should stay the way it is so people don't have to readjust to a new control scheme.

The Game 6 about Luigi mansion made me think how awesome it would be if we got a Mario ‘on rails shooter’. But hey, I don’t think the sensor is for mouse functionality. Once someone suggested the ‘c’ button was a cursor button, it was over. Both joycons have the optical sensor, it’ll probably just be a sensor for the new rail lock system.

A mouse is not better than a gyro for aiming in Nintendo games. Have you played Skyward sword HD? The gyro controls were amazing for that. It almost fixed the flawed sword controls.

Going by the throttle idea, I reckon that could weirdly be used for a new F-Zero game, especially as Nintendo have already said they'd only revive it if they had fresh ideas for the franchise. Think about it, a futuristic racer where g force level speed is the gimmick, having a throttle that allowed you to control your speed intuitively would be sick

Keep in mind the button placement on the Switch 2 will be slightly different so they might be in a better position to use your thumb. I think Metroid would work great. Also - Pikmin. Pikmin is already basically an RTS, and RTS games are well known to benefit from mouse controls. Imagine if you could bandbox your Pikmin like you can in Starcraft or Command & Conquer.

i think it wont be a mouse for the most obvious reason. you use your siwtch on either your tv or handheld so the mouse functionality would be usuless, unless you want to drag the "mouse" on your lap or your couch, but it would be very uncomfortavble this way
