The 2021 Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan available in four trims: SE, SEL, N-Line, and Limited. The N-Line comes with a sportier front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels.
All trim except for the N-Line is powered by a standard 147-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. Powering the N-Line is a 201-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder joined with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch automatic. Fuel economy for the Elantra SE is a best EPA-estimated rating of 33/43 mpg city/highway. It slightly decreases to a 31/41 mpg rating for the SEL and Limited. MSRP $19,650 - $25,450

You guys hate on a car company and you haven’t even drove one of their cars. If you did it was an old model. Most of you are just believing others. The civic has a CVT but y’all don’t hate on that. Is this a thing about who it’s made by? I personally love Kia/Hyundai even though I’m not able to drive yet my mother has had her 2013 Kia Optima for a long time and it still holds up. Runs like it’s brand new. Not noisy, and no major problems. Get out the past and stay in the future. Haters🙄

I cannot believe how every review spends so much time on that stupid cup holder. Wow, you can turn it around and the deep side is in front. Amazing!! That being said, hoping to have my Elantra hybrid Limited by August. I love this car.

The IVT is only on the base models. Higher models get the 7 speed dual clutch. The N line and the N.

@@brownnzenn It's NOT CVT. It's IVT. Big difference. And that's why it didn't feel like a CVT to the reviewer when driving it... because it isn't CVT. I'm not a CVT fan, and my 2021 Elantra definitely feels different/better than CVTs I've driven, or it wouldn't be sitting in my garage. :)

It doesn’t have a CVT. It has an IVT. No more belt driven system internally. It is all gear and chain driven. More and more automakers have made the move to variable transmissions so good luck finding an old fashioned automatic in standard sedans going forward. 25 year Mechanic/ car guy speaking from experience. Only thing this car lacks is horsepower and torque in its class. Hyundai could have done better and still kept MPG up with IVT transmission.

front doors have dumb looking creases, engine lacks enough hp and torque, rear torsion beam suspension is cheapo, way too much cabin hard plastic. also, the center console right side handle needs to be removed.

Wow...the Misogyny in your comment...smdh. The SEL actually picks up speed quite nicely and isn't very far off in speed from the N-Line version. I own it and have out-driven many people...Someone driving a Honda (dont remember what model, but it was a race car hatchback model); wanted to put me to the test at a stop sign and couldn't pass me...sooo..I mean, have you even tried the car out...? LOL...give it a chance....jeez. The N-Line is the fastest option though for the record.

I had an Elantra. It was a piece of junk. It even had an iron engine block. I revved the engine a little and the water hoses shot off, spilling all the coolant. I would rather have a bicycle.
