I'll say this over and over again: Early/Mid 2000's cars are absolute peak. Styling modern but yet subtle, not too focused on aerodynamics and/or track performance, manual transmissions and amazing sound notes. Even those e-gear Gallardos/Murcielagos are becoming charismatic cuz those delayed but yet slaming gear changes (mostly the downshifts) make a beatiful sound. If you can buy one of those rn do it cuz they'll be worth millions.

Sure, there are some gems here and there (ah the timeless Zonda, but the design peaked around 2010. Even Zonda cooked very nicely with F and Tricolore. Design-wise, this was peak Lamborghini for me. It has the cool, sporty, angular styling of all Lambos since the Countach, but also has the clean, purposeful, restrained lines of the Muira. The Countach and Diablo look like a garage science experiment (which can be cool, but a bit messy looking), and the newer ones are overtly busy and angry, yet also look less distinctly Lamborghini since a few other automakers are taking the same busy design approach.

When the Murci first got out, i was underwhelmed and feared that Audi had tamed the raging mad bulls, especially when they came out with the Audi R8, which was a "surprisingly" hot and cool car for an Audi. But in hindsight, it was the last Lambo that had some connections to the brand that i grew up with (even though it went through a lot of owners like you said, but the Diablo was still being produced), and the last Lambo that i think that it is pretty and cool looking (for an "Audi Lambo"). Of course, they made some stinkers in the past, but you don't expect them to do that anymore, although.. Estoque.. very reminiscent of the Jarama, for all the wrong reasons, but they really want to make it happen. I never knew about the history of the V12 though, that was pretty cool to know, somehow that story slipped under the radar for me through the years. I knew it was an own-built engine, but i did not know that it was basically the same engine every time but with some upgrades and changes. Either way, i hope my mom is watching this, so that she knows what i want for Christmas.

The gas struts on the hood are installed backwards. The thick part should be higher than the thin part when the strut is in the position it spends the most time in. In this case, although they’re in the right position for when the lid is open- when the frunk lid is closed, the thin part will be the higher part. That is backwards. The reason- positioning them correctly helps to stop the seals from drying out, which causes the strut to lose pressure.
Don’t get it wrong. The Murcielago is an icon because of Need For Speed.

I own a Valtra N174D and a Merlo TF 33.7. The first one is a tractor, the second is a telehandler. Both and the Lambo share the same air vents.

Why is it so hard for people in the U.S. to pronounce the word"Murciélago"?
@davidfriedland8255 Жыл бұрын
The American pronunciation lacks fidelity to the original Spanish, which has antepenultimate stress, hence the accent on the e, and might be something like 'mercy-ELLA-go'. And if the retort to that is "well, it's Italian", the Italianized pronunciation has a CH sound. "Mercy-uh-LAH-go" is just straight ignorance.

Americans don't like to adapt to pronunciation thats why they change names , take christophoro Colombo .(Christopher Columbus) or Otorhinolaryngology( ENT) 😂

I thought they’d been an icon for years now? The manual Murci’s have gone up considerably in price in the last couple years.
