I just got rid of my Ford Explorer Sport for a 2019 X5M. BEAST! Love the quality of the entire vehicle, everything about it reminds me that I made it. My Ford had issues with turbo return lines, coolant lines, exhaust leak, and multiple fit and finish issues, but it still ran for the 3 years we had it. I bought the extended warranty and of course we paid cash as we do not believe in financing. Love this SUV. 6k miles and so far nothing but smiles.

I got my 2019 X5 40i 3 months ago. Every day it reminds me that I made it as well :) First BMW after 16 years of being single owner of a 2003 Toyota 4Runner (which still runs at 240K and now a hand-me-down to kiddo). I chose to buy the less fancy X5 w/o air suspension. I chose to turn off a lot of electronics that I don't need and just simply enjoy the way it drives. Such a sweet monster on the road!!

I recently requested a mid-sized sedan when I rented a car. They were out of those, and gave me a free upgrade: a BMW X7 i40! I had so much fun driving that for a week. It’s now making me wonder how I could afford a BMW! We’re I to buy one, I would likely opt for this X5 to get the same awesome turbo six, air suspension, and other goodies in the X7 but in a slightly smaller package, since I would be the sole occupant 90% of the time, and only two occupants the other 10%… except for all the people who would want a ride. ;)

I'm going to correct a few things the finish trim inside is not super high quality. BMW has cheapened the interior substantially from earlier models, with cheap plastic and synthetic leather materials that will not hold up over time. Rear seat legroom is surprisingly small for what is supposed to be their second most spacious SUV model. Seats are not that comfortable driver seat in here is the base seat instead of the comfort seats that should be standard for $60k . Should have heated and cooled seats and this does not as there's no perforated leather because it's a cheaper quality build. You'd also think air suspension would be standard in this trim, it's not, and the steel springs are truck like at best, not a refined German SUV feel. This vehicle is difficult to justify as a purchase for $60k I'd look at alternatives, to get more value for your dollars.
