Awesome video lex! Little suggestion, Not sure if you tried it but try scanning the barcode on the label using your camera and it should send you to the link for the specifications of the model your working on to possibly get some info on the sub cooling👍 always love the content!

That leak detector is awesome! On our property the tenants always put there thermostat under 65 and that freezes it EVERY time!

One tech that we have will tell management if the resident runs the thermostat under 70. He claims there is a way to adjust the thermostat inside to keep the tenant from lowering it below 70. But I think he's blowing smoke. I don't never try to mess with those things.

Great repair man this is some work replacing these coils. I've never seen that leak detector you have. Thing is pretty awesome. The manufacturering of those coils may be on back order because of the lack of staff these companies may have?

Both make great products so I recommend either. I personally like Testo because the manifold is small and fits in my hand. Fieldpiece is big & bulky. However, they both never disappoint and make great products. I only prefer Testo due to it size. Not the function. Thank you so much for watching Pedro!

First company is hard to get bc usually it is made in house. Remember that they shut down it seems to be the Dec through Jan as a company I believe. We always have to remember to order heat kits for the units we have, if not its repairing with high temp butt connectors.

Somewhat unrelated but purchased a basic Whirlpool fridge and 50 days later compressor failed, open circuit on run winding. Whirlpool had no clue about when a replacement compressor would be available. Plenty available third party on the internet. Fortunately Lowe’s replaced although out of their return period policy.

If there's some kind of specs that I don't know I usually get the model number and call the manufacturer. They usually tell me what I need to know because they will not send a technician out. So as far as servicing we are the technicians. And Lex, is it true, that letting this freezing go too long will harm the compressor itself?? Sometimes the residences at the properties will not let us know that their air is not cooling, they will let it go all weekend before letting management know.

Hey Lex. I don't have enough money at the moment to buy a bacharach leak detector. And honestly at the moment it's a bit intimidating to use. Do you recommend the inficon leak detector also as a good sniffer?

I have 557 gauges. I don’t think I like how tight my hook up ports are. I like the four valves. Also not sure my micron gauge is that good. I purchased a $ 200 stand alone and trust it more.

My dad worked at Lennox until he retired yesterday. They directly compete with Goodman. Goodman's main manufacturing is in Huston TX, and they got "nailed," by COVID-19 at the company. They shut down for over a month. As a result Goodman has that large a backlog of orders to supply. Also the company just got bought out by the corporation Daikim. That also might have an effect on their market.

I had an electrician come out to do a job with my breakers and I simply asked him a question about mold well he proceeds to pull out a laser tester and he said out of the 20+ years he has been an electrician he has never seen this before in a home throughout my whole double why I have 96% to 100% moisture in the walls ceiling and floors in my rental home, and it’s been sometime now that my AC constantly freezes up no matter what temperature I seem to put it on to cool off my home because it stays so hot in my house could this be the problem with my AC that the moisture in my home is causing too much condensation and freezing up my air condition?

Freeze ups are usually due to low Freon or bad air flow due to dirty filter or dirty coil. I'd get the Freon checked if your air filter is clean.

7 to 9 subcooling on those units. I would order a new a txv as the new coil doesn't come with a new one

Did you say six months? Dude, that is stupid. I stock up on them. Carrier usually has them in store but I always have two coils and compressors lying around. Replaced two coils this year already. If this is your first TXV make sure the sensor bulb is facing up on these drop airhandlers. The equalizing tube gets brazed into the suction line.
