Yeah definitely because he's british and definitely not because his last 5 fights went to decision except 1 that was a no contest, his last finish was against a guy that's 4-3 in the UFC and he only has 3 finishes in 14 UFC appearances. He's 1 of 2 people to take Cerrone to decision in Cerrone's last 8 losses, the other being Pettis in a 3 round fight. Just to make your arguement sound even more stupid, Till is british and his hype never dies down even though he looks terrible almost every fight and has shown very little in the way of becoming a legit champion.

Part of it is because of his demeanour for sure. The guy hardly talks and shows almost no personality to get invested in. And I'm saying that as a Brit. Even I'm not particularly invested in his career, and I'm always interested in British fighters. I don't think it's a British thing. Obviously Paddy is blowing up, after a single, fairly sloppy win in the UFC. Not to mention Till and Aspinall. Common factor with all three of those guys is that they actually have a personality, or are willing to show their personality in interviews etc.
