Little over 3 years ago, I was sitting at a bar at 23 years old, depressed because i got suspended from university due to my drinking habits while on my fourth pint of Blue Moon. I watched this video, listened to Jon talking about his "best times" being sober and that very new years eve i pledged to never drink alcohol again, only to fall back into the spiral of excessive drinking on my 24th birthday of that year. Just 3-4 months after I made the pledge. My life was hell for the next two years all because I was doing things the real me shouldn't do including drinking, smoking, aimless etc. I am now 7 months permanently free from alcohol's clutches. I advise anybody to do the same.

He is a very insecure guy, to be truly great you need to deal with loss and know that you can overcome it and come back better than ever. Jon is scared as hell of losing, as great as he is as a fighter that is his downfall. As much as I hate Conor, that is one thing I have to give him, he is mentally strong and has the mindset of a champion!
@THUGNEEZY8 жыл бұрын
DaLeadBull look at you. how can you say he's not great hes fought the best thats been the best for a long time, legends, and he outclassed them at a very young age hes undefeated he lost once but it was really a win that ended up a dq but if he has a terrible fear of losing well its worked out pretty well hes the most dominant fighter in ufc period. and then you compare to conor mcgregor? conors fought mostly up and comers only good fighters were aldo but that was not a full fight just a punch and nate diaz whos never even been a champion and lost once to him. im sorry bro you cant judge him as a fighter by his emotional state hes great inside the cage but outside yeah he needs a lot of help
@jamesgarner41278 жыл бұрын
THUGNEEZY Conor fought Aldo, Mendez, Diaz and Alvarez. He beat them all, what are you talking about he's only fought up and comers? These 4 guys are legends of this sport.
@justinboateng87288 жыл бұрын
James Garner please stfu mendes really dude has not won shit and has been a gatekeeper and Alvarez was a champ for about what two or three months before he fought Connor on a lucky punch and Diaz was like 19-10 before he fought Connor.

Chad Mendes & Nate Diaz = legends? er...no. To be a legend u have to be champ at least.

I tried listening to this interview, but his unapologetic nature and lack of self awareness makes it impossible for me to respect him. Seriously. I couldn't handle how many times he said "literally" and he seemed so disingenuous and fake. The fact he only cared if the baby died because of prison time tells you everything. Joe kept trying to help him but his apathy is more powerful.

Every year and every arrest I come back to watch this, it is just a shame that as skilled and great in the octagon he is, he just can't help himself, all the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th chances he has ...it doesn't matter his team himself his friends are responsible, it is something that never ever should have happened AGAIN and would ya know it , it did ! Joe Rogan keeps trying to push this narrative that Jones didn´t train for the Gustafsson fight, even though Jones is saying he did. Jones might have underestimated Gus, but he was obviously in good shape for that fight.

Listening to him talk about how he analyzes his opponents makes it that much more sad for me that he had to cheat twice, and have all this stuff always floating around him. He truly could of went down as the undisputed goat if not for his own mistakes!

@@guitarcovers5437 Funny how you bring up GSP when he competed in the pre USADA era and also had suspicious performances against other juiced athletes. Jones' personality is influencing your judgement when it shouldn't even be considered since it's unrelated to fighting. Carlos Monzon was a murderer and he's the middleweight boxing GOAT. SRR is a woman beater and he's the all time p4p boxing goat. Jones falls in that category
