Everyone has just decided to forget about Lindelof being one of the best backup defenders in the league in Ten Hag’s first season, he was consistently class and we wouldn’t have gotten UCL football if not for him, last season he barely played at centre back and now he’s our worst defender somehow, he can also enter the midfield and has a much better passing range than Maguire

People are being way too dismissive of Amrabat. When he played as a 6, he actually played fairly well and complemented Mainoo. Bayern, Chelsea, City in the final, Liverpool at Anfield, etc. Considering he also had a few injuries and played out of position just as much as he did as a 6, he did very well imo. We won't find another 6 with that quality and mentality at his price.

If United pull the Ugarte, Mazraoui, and de Ligt signings this week, it would be a successful first transfer window for INEOS. Erik ten Hag would have a competitive squad to work with this season. He won't have any excuses this time. At this point in time, he basically has a weaker squad than last season, with the notable departures of Varane and Martial and the injuries to Yoro and Hojlund. Unless Ten Hag is a magician, United is destined for a repeat of last season, or even worse.

Assuming Fair Play does not torpedo this suggestion, why do the shareholders subscribe pro rata for say £3/400 million which would provide funds to strengthen the squad.
