I used to live a block away from Sal, Kris and Charlie's back when Charlie was still alive. He would take scraps off the cutting board, dollop a a little veg on it, roll it up and hand it over the counter to customers. If he handed you something, you ate it, the combination he would put together was always amazing!

I'm from Elmhurst, Queens and bike to Astoria for good eats, especially in good weather where many eateries set up outside. Pizza and gyro spots abound as well as restaurants with more elaborate menus. My favorite spot is Chicken Shack, where you can get a quarter chicken and quarter rack of ribs plate with fries, rice and beans, or a salad. Filling and delicious fare for a casual outing. Thanks to this post I will know where to focus my future food excursions.

That bagel looked good. I’m such a bagel person. I’ve had a bagel with cream cheese for dinner many times. Pizza. Of course who doesn’t love a regular slice of pizza. Those dollar pizzas are crap. Tacos. Mexican. Burritos, that’s actually what I’m having for dinner tonight. Greek food. Astoria is known for good Greek food. Growing up we’d say let’s go to Greek town to get some yummy Greek dinner. Queens, NY has such great diverse restaurants.

I went to Frank Sinatra for a good 4 years, so even though I haven't grown up in Astoria, I've ate at Napoli Pizza and Pasta at least once every 2 weeks after school, and even celebrated my 16th birthday there. It's single handedly my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC, and I'm glad to see it's still in business. Brooklyn Bagel Company is also a great place to get some dope bagels and I fancy the location in Astoria more than the one you went to with your twin in Manhattan. Blessed to see another amazing video like this Jon. There's definitely more places in the area to show

Cheapest breakfast at Mini Star on Steinway. Pizza would be Sac’s when it comes out fresh on Broadway. Best kebabs on corner of Steinway and 31st Ave by Banana Republic. The list goes on.
