I used to work at the Top of the Rock when living in NYC. Visited The Empire State Building twice, the Edge once. I'm planning to visit One World Observatory when I come into to NYC this weekend. And next time I visit NYC again, I will visit The Summit.

I did this with my family last Christmas break and we started in the late afternoon, meaning it got dark as we were doing it. I actually got to see the lights at the top of the Chrysler Building light up. And when we took the glass elevator to the top and I gazed out over the lights of the city, it was honestly one of the most magical views I’ve ever seen in my life

My wife and I spent the last 6 days here in NYC and your videos REALLY made a huge difference! We've been here a few times but your insights helped us find those great hole in the wall places we would've missed. We especially loved the Jackson Heights Food cart stops. They were INCREDIBLE. here in New York for the third time and visited Summit one Vanderbilt today. Helps that the weather was fantastic, clear blue skies but thought it was fantastic, we both had smiles on our faces for 90minutes. Had a nice drink at the bar on 93rd at the end (was very hot in there) but our favourite observation deck now (haven’t done the edge or one observatory)

Oh man! That looks incredible! I think the highest level of top of the rock is special because you don't have glass in front of you, but what you did was so much more than an observation deck. I'll put it on our list for our next trip in May.

INCEPTION!! as an observation deck, trippy. That's a hard NO for me on that outdoor elevator, what could possibly go wrong?, those things almost never get stuck, ever.

I agree that this is worth visiting! I'd like to add that some of the interior spaces, and art work were either designed by or inspired by the amazing artist Yayoi Kusama - she deserves a mention! So if you are a Kusama fan, one more reason to visit.

My wife, 3 year old daughter and I was there yesterday evening. We absolutely loved! Love the spot! The people the atmosphere 100%! So we did Empire State building last Monday and we did summit this Monday yesterday. We may go again in a couple days that’s how awesome super awesome it is! We went toward the evening and it was really dark out clear skies but dark so we plan to go during the day and watch the sun down! The employees are 100% cool excellent perfect very gracious very helpful very giving we had so much fun!

Hotel indigo on the LES is a great choice. I’ve stayed there twice and I like the vibe the hotel gives. There’s also Mr. Purple which is a bar with a rooftop view.

I Did it last Saturday night after dark with rain and fog outside and it was SO SICK. If you’re deciding in only 1 observatory to go to go this is it. It may not be worth $70 a pop but it is by far the most expansive and unique.
