Pls do a comparison video with the s6, just saw a dubious s6 and z5 comparison on supersaftv. The guy there claims the Sony couldn't handle macro shots and the images he uploaded next to the s6 made the z5 look bad clearly. Compared to other reviews i have seen on recombu and phonearena that supersaf tv review was awful. Recombu and Phonearena comparison images make the s6 look childish compared to the z5. Would like to see your own comparison video of the camera as well.

My battery has never overheated.However like all chips which share with this model it will get warm when using it for a sustained period for photo processing.The chip in this phone is designed to run more cooly whilst using less power from the battery. the usage determines the battery drain on any flagship phone. Its tested without your extra apps added on which sap power. What I will say about the photography side is this...Sony makes the best camera hardware in the business and is virtually identical as the sony hardware in the iphone setup. The photo processing on mash mellow makes it on par or better than the IPhone. Nice pictures at times improved by marshmallow processing improvements.the new camera UI additions are there to bring traction to the better software.It could improve in the next android release again.Good hardware means a happy photo future

And this would happen as well to its rivals, go check the comparison pics done by phonearena u'll see the iPhone over saturates more than the Samsung. There's a comparison done by phone arena with the Z5, iPhone 6, Lg g4, Samsung s6 and others. U'll see the iPhone saturates colours and makes everything superficial for social media clearly. There's also a comparison review between the Samsung note 5 and the i phone 6s

***** please go to phone arena they just uploaded a camera comparison not too long ago between the Note 5 and I phone 6s plus. And phonearena are apple fans, they never see wrong in apple products. Yet the images they blew up is clear, the Samsung has a far wider field of view very key for any one who knows anything bout photography that even scores higher than extreme quality in day light cause really that's negligible between most top end phones. Low light as well the Note 5 beat the 6s plus. Don't take my word for it, go to phonearena, am no Samsung fan but if I had a choice between the two I'll pick the Sumsung, the two probably with Sony sensors.

The camera quality is great in good light. The post-processing can be excessive but then the Galaxy S7 and other phones are no better - they just sharpen the details more and that doesn't necessarily mean better quality. However, the biggest downfall with the Z5 is its lens. Corners are blurred and many users have complained about it being imbalanced with more blur on the left. When I take landscapes, the area of sharp focus is rather narrow and it starts to exhibit blur slightly off of that area (even on distant objects that are at approximately the same distance). I understand this is a wide angle f2.0 lens but it still compromises the overall image quality even when you crop it.

The S7 uses an unsharp mask to make you think everything is detailed, but it's just the post-processing. I tried it at the store and noticed this "shadow" effect on the edges - this happens when an unsharp mask is used. The Z5 doesn't apply as much smearing but the sharpness is lacking due to the bad lens. What the S7 really has going for it is so much more manual features while Sony never bothers. Heck, even HTC's manual mode is better on their 4MP Ultrapixel camera... BTW Z5's shutter lag is awful. Even my HTC One X+ from 2012 is faster. It's no due to the resolution either - I tried the HTC M9+ Supreme Camera and it is super fast as well. I think it's really underrated but I was uneasy about the Mediatek SoC (the demo unit heated more than my Z5) and there is no quick charging. I tried the Xperia X series today - virtually no shutter lag - but why can't they bring this to the Z5???

I saw a reviews in one channel on youtube, he recorded a review of the Xperia Z5 and X Performance. In the Z5s review he criticized the blurred corner problem (then it was on Lollipop), but in X Perf review he told that this problem gone. I was testing the Z5 in the market too, it was running on Marshmallow and I didn't notice this problem, the pictures were stunning

Sorry to say this , you might dont see it but when there will be some comparison , Z5 will look very bad. I am very disappointed by the performance. A lot of blurry images , Note 5 and Iphone 6s plus are gonna blow Z5 away. Just take a look at the shot at 2:26 , just absolutely no detail at all at those trees. I know that S6 and Note 5 would look 10000x better here , next image as well , no detail on the tree. Like i said , very very disappointed.

MRryuhayabusa No way mate , manual mode does not do a big thing to picture quality. Have seen a lot of reviews where they mentioned that picture quality is better in superior auto. And you cant fix blurry photos by manual mode , only different kinds of exposure setting and so on. And nobody really cares about manual mode if the auto mode is bad. Manual is just for a few pictures that you want to really make better , for the rest , casual pictures of your life , friends , family and so on , auto mod is the only option ofc . You dont have 10-20 s to adjust the setings when your friends ask you for a picture for example. If you want to make a picture of smt to be seen by many , then manual mode is good. But auto mode is the base. And Z2 , Z3 , Z3+ have failed at that. One of my friends got Z1c as well and the images are almost always out of focus , lacking the detail. It is really a joke.
