The Heritage is definitely the way to go and as someone who has been to the heritage factory they indeed are using the original Les Paul molds.

I want both. The slight difference makes a good pair.

My ears are thinking that the Gibson is a little out off tune ( g-string maybe). But, "who" are my ears?

Your ears are correct. Quite a lot out of tune, actually.

I mean, yeah…it‘s a Gibson

I love (and own) Gibson LPs, but i think I'd go the Heritage way, too. Unless you're buying used, I find it difficult to justify the price. ✌️🇦🇺

I've got a 2002 Heritage H-157 (LP Custom) and a 1975 Gibson LP Standard. Both guitars are the best guitar I've ever played. :D

I have both, love both. The Heritage is a bit warmer, the Gibson is more agreasive.

Hey mate! I wonder how many of those Heritage guitars I kind fit in me Yute, with all the Cocs, bogans and snags in the back!

Heritage has the better finish. If you want that finish in a Gibson, you have to spend a lot more.

TheHeritage H-150 has two features you won't get on the Gibson Standard 50's unless you go Custom Shop editions. One being a solid one piece mahogany back and two a long neck tenon. Both are pretty big specs!. Also the Heritage is made on the same machines as the famed Gigson LP's of the 50-60's era, meaning more of a hand made guitar vs robotic C&C machines. Lastly and quite important, the Heritage tends to have far better QC than the Gibson. Both are Great guitars, list price in the USA is approx the same, would say if anyone is looking for a LP go try both side by side before buying then decide. Cheers.

Love my Heritage, even more than my vintage Gibsons and agree they historically had better QC. That said, Bandlab bought Heritage a few years ago I think the robotic C&C machines have changed ops at Heritage from what I've read.

@@brianwalton6283 what I read was they did an addition to the building huge renos in the existing factory. Still using the old machines that have been around in the early days of Gibson although upgraded the old motors to be more efficient. Building Heritage line of guitars in the same way. The new edition built is mainly for their purchase of Harmony guitars which do use C&C machines . Could be wrong or it has changed, but that's what was stated by Heritage when they purchased Harmony.

As a former Gibson fan boy I had several Les Pauls of different built levels. None, and I really mean none of them were a match to the H150. Once Heritage, always Heritage.

I have no doubt the Heritage is a nice guitar but that headstock is so hideous I can't get past it. Heritage used is the way to go, they depreciate way more than a Gibson.
