The armrests are VERY easy to move when pulling them up slightly while sitting in the chair. The button does nothing for their horizontal movement, but just slightly lifting them disengages the "teeth" inside, bit like pushing on the clutch of a car so you can move the stick.

six months ago I bought an Embody Logitech, the backrest makes absolutely no noise, the coccyx area is very comfortable, and I bought the Atlas headrest which is perfect, the only flaw it has is that it is decidedly noisy. but this way the chair is truly perfect. I have owned one for eight years looks almost new. I had a lot of replacement arms (button issue) but they provided new ones and fitted them at home. They are now giving me a new chair after eight years because of the arm button issue which is immense. Worth every single penny. It was purchased to help cure my sciatica and that's exactly what it did. I have tried every chair on the market in this range never found a better one.

The embody is one of the best Chair I have sat on. I also bought mine used (like - new) for a fairly good price a couple months back. My back pain is not really noticeable anymore, my thighs are feeling great from the balanced foam, and the great thing is the ability to stretch backwards on both shoulders. My chair squeaks quite a bit, but I have gotten used to it. The only thumbs down I would give is to the armrest as I wish there is more flexibility in the movement.

I'm not sure if this review is ment sarcastically, because at almost every category you mention you were not happy with the chair and had to go out of your way by ordering after market adjustments. For a chair that is above 1500$ (!) this should not be necessary..
@comfytechquest3 ай бұрын
Yours is a fair critique! A couple of points to consider: - I’ve actually stopped using the armrest cushions nowadays so I consider that a “happy” category without aftermarket adjustments. - Newer Embody chairs have extra seat pan foam vs. my version. This setup is the most comfortable I have been in a chair so far, despite the shortcomings I have flagged. If I ever find a chair that gives me better bang for buck I will let this channel know :)

The Embody seat pan is certainly more comfy than the SL Titan (at least, the 2020 version that I owned). When comparing the 2020 SL Titan and HM Embody, the only losses with the Embody in my mind are that a.) you don’t get a full recline and b.) no headrest (will be fixed soon if you are prepared to buy a third party one). Important to keep in mind that the Embody is IMO unforgiving when it comes to posture - it demands that you sit up correctly (e.g., your lower back needs to be pushed up against the back of the chair), but I don’t consider that a downside.

I agree - I don't think I could justify paying full price for the chair; my review is within the context of me buying the chair second hand (3 years old at the time of purchase).

I feel like the Secret Lab Titan is the best bang for the buck. I mean it is firm, but for us bigger folk at least it doesn't bottom out.

Honestly, I'd say if the Secret Lab Titan works for you, that's great! I found that my upper back was quite sore after extended Secret Lab Titan (2020) use, otherwise I would gladly have kept the chair and a chunk of change :)

i gotta agree with you man. everyone bashing on armrests about not being 4d or something. but they are actually all i need. i can totally live without 4d just for the sole fact how low they could go. i didnt see that on any other chair that caught my eye and i've had my eye on quite the few. also...i need to hear what do you think of atlas headrest. i aint gonna spoil it :D great video bud. this info could actually help people than the regular review no cap. gg love the embody. i'm rocking logitech version.

The price of the chair is comical and I cannot justify it. I could easily buy it, but I highly doubt it's 2 grand comfy. The prices on office chairs these days are comical to insulting. Taking advantage of idiots. Time to take a chair I like and just modify it into an office chair. It'll last much longer and look better.

Thanks for the fresh perspective Elim! So far, I too have not managed to justify the full RRP - my current Embody is second hand. I’d be interested to learn more about your idea - what chair(s) do you like and plan to modify?

Agreed re. The headrest (so I now have the Atlas headrest). I got used to the squeaking, doesn’t bother me now.
