Dacob, I encountered a superfake Birkin in the wild! Company party over the weekend. My boss (he's the COO) brought his wife. I asked her about her bag. She shamelessly admitted she bought it from Temu! $200. "I bought this one because it looked the least fake." At their wealth she could have told me it was real and I would have believed her. Too funny!

Miami has a lot, A LOT of corruption. Someone (a Mexican resident) told me this story: a Land Rover was stolen from the parking garage of a residential building (private garage). The building had it all on tape plus the SUV had a tracker (standard in luxury cars, you can always see where your car is at all times). The owner called the police, the building gave the police access to the building's tapes immediately and also the exact location of the SUV (the tracker was still working)... and the Cuban police officer responded "we'll write up a [police] report and you can give that to the insurance company"... THEY STRAIGHT UP REFUSED TO RETRIEVE THE SUV.. even though they had the crime on camera and the exact location of where it currently was. Never got the car and never arrested anyone for the crime. What people don't realize is that Miami has a massive influence of Cubans.. some Cubans love America and change, a lot of them in positions of power are equally as corrupt. I once spoke to a woman whose father fled decades ago, she said these newer guys think they're still in Cuba and run the area the same as if they were still in Cuba. It's really bad. The good parts of the Cuban culture didn't just come over with good people- the bad parts of Cuban culture came over with bad people too. Actually a black guy I met who was originally from Brooklyn, moved to Miami, then moved further north in FL said he moved because Miami is worse than Brooklyn now. Surprising and kind of crazy.
