I am curious if anyone here interacts with the disclaimer that the video is not rooted in "truths or facts" or are we all here to exercise our rage against luxury hoping rather than expecting it to collapse?
@SuperDacob12 сағат бұрын
Nobody reacts to the disclaimer because they all understand what it means and what it stands for. You, obviously don’t. But thats on you boo.
@SuperDacob12 сағат бұрын
But of course, dear, if you wish to (as you state) “interact” with the statement, then I can let the statement know you wish to go on a date with it. Or how else would you like to interact with it? Go shopping with the statement for shoes perchance?

Gen Z is young... Millennials were lucky to earn fairly high when they were young, but all générations before were only able to afford that when hitting their 40s. In Europe people were partially lucky enough to take over furniture, flatware etc. of the family, so you had the money to buy fashion in Outlets (the yearly Italy Vacation included getting new clothes eg at BV, LP or alike) and some inherited a Birkin at a younger age

Dacob, this really resonated with me! I work with Gen Z and they do not aspire to own luxury. They are a generation focused on sustainability. Luxury unfortunately is not a sustainable industry. I also think they are coming into adulthood during very uncertain economic times and luxury is equivalent to frivolous. I also think the generation values experiences over things. As a millennial I grew up on the idea that hard work and drive is all I needed to own a home This generation is not living that reality. Why the heck will a luxury handbag even make sense in their new reality?

Louis Vuitton trashed their brand. No offense to any particular community, but when they abandoned their cultural foundations and starting putting men in women's catalogs they began their path to irrelevance. If that's too partisan for you, continue their collaboration with Supreme. It doesn't take a genius to know that a brand from 1848 should be collaborating with a skate brand from 1994. Bad idea. That was guaranteed to end up like the Maserati-Chrysler collab from the 1980s. Cheap.

Let’s say if these brands have proper well made non defect bags for $1,000 like they did a few yrs ago. 50 million x 1,000 would be around 50 billion. (Correct me if im wrong) However, nobody can get bags for $1,000 from these brands anymore, unless if you’re lucky, at the outlets… But then again, they only want the top 1% to buy from them, they did it to themselves lol I wonder how many millions of bags that have been produced by these luxury houses omg

Yes I agree Dior is doing very well with their perfume, make up, and skin care they are really trying too. They offer games, prizes, AMAZING gift with purchase and birthday gifts and anniversary gifts if you are top tier. I really love Dior beauty more than their bags and clothes 😍😍🫶🏼

overpriced, and all the hoopla surrounding it is as outdated as Tupperware parties and women running around behind pink wheels selling chapstick. Gen Z or no Gen Z, we want good quality and functional products. We do not want to be seen walking around with products that serve as billboards to advertise someone else's label. We do not need an "act", we need authenticity. So, move over elitism, snobby behavior, and big is not beautiful,

Folks are not buying a product; they are buying a logo. The product does not really matter. What matters is the high price and general snobbery surrounding a brand.

As a Gen Z my problem is the quality. I can understand high prices for well-made goods but Chanel can't keep increasing their prices every year when the bag is falling apart. I rather use that money to see the world.

@seabreeze45592 күн бұрын
Inheritance tax is DESIGNED to rob the poor, the rich have workarounds for themselves. UK accountants are on here talking about the UK's progressive tax system which holds down poors and uplifts the rich with tax efficient strategies to PRESERVE classism. They punish hard work in temporary income tax (it was originally temporary) and reward owners with lower capital gains tax.
