6:00 this has been so helpful thanks! I asked the people at the boutique about the weight of the leathers, and they basically dismissed my concern saying that "people don't care so much about that'".. 🙄my shoulder gets strained pretty easily so been scavenging the internet for this info about the weights until now. Thanks a lot for the bag comparison jade! Do u find that the rose gold hardware on your Birkin has become more yellow than before? I've heard that over time hermes' rose gold hardware becomes yellower that it's more like normal gold hardware. Not sure if it's true across the board or just unlucky🤔

Hello Cindy, that’s likely the result of tarnishing. If you polish the hardware it should return to being rose gold! 🤍 but Hermes rose gold is quit similar to gold to began with.

Lovely comparison video! I also prefer the look of the more relaxed Retourne style! Hoping to eventually purchase a preloved 30, as I have no Hermes boutique in my area. I’d love to get your thoughts on Swift leather for a Birkin! 🥰

I don’t really recommend swift leather for anything larger than a b25, it will loose its shape very quickly. Personally only own swift leather bags in a kelly pochette for that reason! It’s a lovely leather, soft and luxurious and surprisingly durable. But for a bag like birkin 30 best to go with Togo leather 🤍 or for vintage Hermes maybe you can find one in box leather!

I always keep it in the bag to help with the structure! Especially for birkins in softer leather like togo or swift 🤍

Hi, I bought a sellier insert before the bag arrive (as 7RP was doing a free shipping last time). But right now my SA offer me the retourne style instead. Do you think I can use the sellier insert for my retourne Birkin?

Hello 🤍 they are not the same size but I’m sure it will still fit (sellier inserts are a little longer and narrower than the retourne ones). However, keep in mind the retourne bags are softer and need more structural support, so having a well fitted insert is important.
