Oooo the Picotin is one of the few Hermès bags I actually like thw look of, but the style is quite different for me, so would be good to road-test before jumping in! 🤩

Great comparison of the two handbags, Lisa. The Tiffany and Fred is definitely my speed as far as cost goes. I’m happy that it is a good quality and doesn’t smell like chemicals. I love your description of the strap that is part of the closure. So technical, lol. Sounds just like what I would call it. You are so funny. I’m definitely not an IP lawyer, but I’m guessing a bag like this would be difficult to patent. It’s such a simple bag and there aren’t any trademark infringements since it doesn’t say Hermes. But it’s crazy how many look alike bags this store has.

Fashion is constantly copied. Basically every single fashion builds on another. It is why in a season you can go and see Steve Madden basically throwing out Hermes Oran sandals - at least in american copyright law it has been an area for a long time that you can copy a fashion style as long as you are not labeling it as say Hermes Oran sandals.

From what I see, the bags are all the 18 size. But honestly you can get a lot on this bag. I originally thought about getting the pictotin 22 but then watched a couple of videos and realized the 18 was plenty roomy.

For those who owned Hermes they will know nothing else can compete, only downside for H is the price and scarcity

I agree and disagree. I own Hermes and love my picotin. But I also really like this. Given my low buy this year, there are other bags that I would rather buy. This is a great look for less and if I want to get another picotin next year from boutique, I can pursue that then.

On the Hermes, it is not suede on the inside, but it's actually just the raw side of the hide

I looked at the Tiffany and Fred website . This bag was $369 on their website. Not the $160 you have been saying. Still considerably less than Hermes.

It's because the dude is top grain leather and that's why they put a line on the inside still real leather, but it's not it's the lower of all leather cow
