Yes you can 🙋🏻‍♂️ But you can only customize the hardware, lining and strap length. Otherwise, you can order a custom longer strap from Hermes for the Mini Kelly..which takes about a year to deliver 🙏🏻 That's what I did for my Mini Kellys 🍊

What a great video! It’s always so interesting to hear about some of the parts of Hermès that most clients aren’t likely to experience. I’ve seen a few special order wallets around KZbin, have you heard of them offering special order SLGs? I wonder if this is the same process or a separate process? I.e. if you are offered a special order can you choose something other than a bag?

I'm so glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻 Wow no, I've never heard of anyone choosing an A La Carte SLG 🤷🏻‍♂️ Hermes does offer clients to custom order usually discontinued SLGs in a certain color or leather but I don't believe those are considered SO. Custom orders tend to be about 30% more expensive than the original retail price. I ordered a now discontinued phone case in the past but it wasn't processed as a SO. Thank you for sharing your insight, I shall look into it 🧡

Thank you for your honest account on your SO, as well as opinions on H bags in other videos (Ahem, bags sneaking up on you. Yes, I am guilty of such purchases.). I placed my SO at the same time as you last year, likely at the same boutique, but am still patiently waiting. I do think yours is gorgeous and it kind of reminds me of the Scottish flag, which I think is a cool thing. I think the SO process is very overwhelming as a whole and human nature will always make you second guess your selection because it’s such huge investment and rare opportunity. I hope I enjoy my bag when it comes in! Keep up the great work with your videos and I’m looking forward to your 2020 wishlist. With the pandemic and environment where I don’t see myself going out as much as I used to, I struggle putting luxuries on my wishlist.

I found that the size in the Sellier structure and the overall style didn't really fit me. The truth is that I would have never considered buying this bag if I wasn't after something "rare" 🤦🏻‍♂️ Stay tuned 🧡

Hi GPS. I think it is the 1st comment that I leave on your video. I had found out your channel a few months ago and it is very educative for someone like me who is not a die hard Hermes fan (I am tending to change as I grow older). I think Paris system is different than what you've been describing. Even though not being a top tier client(I usually only purchase full price cologne or Petit h homewares or stationnary, I buy RTW, costume jeweleries, belts and shoes during their customers sales), I had easily been able to place a special order for a bicolor burgundy/ black 35cm Birkin in togo leather before christmas 2017. I finally got it in March 2019. I've been in love with that bag ever since. The only downside is that I was expecting carrying something unique or the next best thing and I've seen at least 4 guys on instagram carrying the exact same bag since!

But as long as you like it and find it to be a special edition to your personal collection, you made the right choice 🙏🏻

Hi... thank you for the informative video. I didnt know that suede is an option to choose. I totally understand your dilemma with your last SO. I just made my first SO in February and was also very tempted to order something that is now on trend, like a mini Kelly. As they didnt offer croc and I already have ostrich I decided to take something I always wanted and can use the most. In the end I choose with the help of my SA: Kelly 35, Swift, Vert Cypress with black and brushed silver hardware. I would really like to see what you plan for the next one. 😍

Thank you for tuning in 🙏🏻 They usually offer suede in 3 different colors but for the past couple of seasons, they only allowed the Constance to be ordered in suede 🤷🏻‍♂️ Such a wonderful choice..I love both the Kelly and the Birkin in size 35 and Vert Cypress is my favorite shade of green. Honestly, I think your a la carte bag is beautiful. I did mine last June and still waiting for it. Wanted to do a lizard bag but my SA only offer a croc lisse not matte. So I went for non-exotic. I declined 6 different Birkins before getting my first ever as I wasn’t happy with the spec that was offered. It took 8 months in my Hermes journey before I was happy and bought my first bag. I don’t compromise 😂😂😂

I am GPS I think if I’m going to spend that much money on a bag, I want it to be exactly what i want. 😂 my SA appreciate my honestly as I don’t buy a B/K/C just for the sake of having it. Maybe a 28 retourne would’ve fit you better as you can wing the sides out? Honestly I don’t carry that much even though I’m quite tall. The maximum size I would go for B is 30, K is 28. But I do enjoy my HAC 36 for travelling if I somebody else is carrying it for me 😂😂😂

In the past, you were able to place a special order for ANY Hermes item other than bags...you could choose the leather and color but it cost you +30% of the original retail price. Nowadays this service is not widely offered, it's mainly reserved for the VVIC but you can always ask 🤷🏻‍♂️ Since both bags are still available, I wouldn't be surprised if you could request them during the SO event. Although you'd probably be restricted to choosing the color and maybe stitching 🍊

Hi GPS! 1st: you are doing great videos! 2nd: you were very lucky to be ablt to place a SO because Im loyal to the brand and hoping each year I will be lucky. But There is a huge turnover in Hermes SA so I feel I have to start all over again each time, losing lot of money and time (and my patience haha). I'd suggest either shopping with one of the department managers or someone who's been with the brand for a while and isn't likely to leave so soon. Unfortunately there's not much else you can do but build your history with the boutique and once you find someone you enjoy working with express your interest for an SO. I like that you recognized that you would not have chosen this for a purchase. I try to do this when a very expensive item goes on sale. I get a rush of adrenalin. But, I ask myself if I would have bought this item at full price...if the answer is, "No", I regretfully pull back from the purchase. It has been a costly journey to come to that realization. Yes, I would like a video on your 2020 wishlist.

Your NOT the first I have seen get a horse shoe / special order and not get what they thought they want ! You can not see what you are making until it's done and not every color is good on every bag or together 😑 A bag someone would think sounds so cute is Pink & White burkin but I think looks ODD I think it's the style and how it's done in the tone of color but a example. I loved the Kelly with the X you did colors not for me but no for me. I hope you get another chance to make your horseshoe now that you no the process exactly you want for your life🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
