This flanker is good if not better than the original. Bought it last week and absolutely love it. Its enormous so in my opinion it's not for everyone. The smokey scent and pepper are incredible. It gave me 9 to 10 hrs. Its a dress up scent or a formal occasion.

Smells pure citrus and I love it! My olfactory senses is pleased. The scent bubble is spontaneous, but stays unoffensive as it lingers on the skin and does not disappears across the room or wherever you may be. Awesome release of Hermes Terre D'Hermes.

Thanks for the review! I've been on a fresh scent obsession for a while now, when for the longest time my focus was totally on oriental, or woody, or resinous scents. I sold off my original TdH and never thought about it for a long time until Eau Tres Fraiche came out, and after sampling the original again, I've suddenly become fixated on TdH again. I love vetiver. It has so many facets, it's astounding. Fresh, green, grassy, smoky, rubbery (so cool), and earthy. My latest go-to has been Guerlain's Vetiver Intense, a slightly warmer version of their original. If I want something darker, I'm fascinated with Hermes' Bel Ami Vetiver--the smokiness of the vetiver goes so well with the original Bel Ami's leather notes. You've sold me. I've just ordered a bottle of Intense Vetiver online. Can't wait for it!! PS I also enjoyed your review on the Vuitton mens fragrances.

I get a ton of grapefruit at the top and am a little reminded of Hermes rhubarbe eclarté. It mellows out and is very delicious. Totally unisex to my nose and very elegant.

I have Eau Fraiche version and I love it very much, I can smell orange zest vibe in the opening that I love that very much, I was thinking about buying original one now I have new choice so I should compare. Yes I know this perfumer (nose) and my favorite vetiver is Creed Original Vetiver and TF Grey Vetiver. Good luck 💚😉

Thanks for the review... I had a rough relationship with this line.. . Never really liked this line when i first tried it.. Smelled like some off putting chemical cleaner. I ended up liking it a little more as my nose matured.. I think i liked the parfum version better than the edt... now I own the eau fraiche. Didn't even like that one at first either, but now I enjoy it.

Watching this one nearly three years after its first airing, you've persuaded me to go with this one over the other three. I did watch another reviewer as well, and between the two of you, this is the one for me to start with. The TdH Parfum and EdT descriptions, with their "dirty orange" pitch, do not quite appeal to me, nor does the EdT's perhaps more youthful "fizziness." And the Eau Tres Fraiche sounds like something I might buy for a friend's teenage son. This one, the Eau Intense Vetiver, with the bergamot replacing the orange, the heightened vetiver, and yet the same parfum rounded sophistication, sounds perfect. And for a newbie, there's no redundancy issue! 😊 As you said, Terre d'Hermes needs to be a basic fixture in the repertoire.

Terre eau l'intense vetiver, is a great variant, I get the green note on top, but then it tames out, my only wish is that it should have a bit of orange blossom, this still my versatile go to, in the summer, when you want to smell not to challenging, truly earthy and masculine. ✍️☕🌞🍀

7:15 Yes, I agree too. IDK but I seem to like Vetiver Intense better than the EDP. EDP strikes me as too young - as in: I am too young still maturing to wear this pop-like perfume. My father's reaction was very positive though and I bought him the 3.4 oz a week later. Vetiver is just settled to me. Anywho, nice review!

I appreciate your detailed and enlightened review of this fragrance. I think it was perfectly spot on. I just received a sample spray of this. It is my first and only experience with Hermes & vetiver for that matter. I take that back, I have Voyage, but nonetheless, the first of this kind to ever smell. For me, this is completely new and unique. Being as I don’t own, nor have smelled, the first two original releases, do I just opt to skip ahead and commit to the Intense Vetiver? Or do start my collection with the OG’s? I do love the intense Vetiver, but I do think it becomes a skin scent rather quickly. Does the original parfum project longer? After your review, and suggestion of “classics mans’ staple rotation” I’m torn between Parfum and Intense Vetiver. Thanks for making me think on it! Keep doing what you’re doing.

For a very special and unique vetiver fragrance from Hermes check out Bel Ami Vetiver. It's got a mildly fruity leather & herbal tea vibe with a touch of ashy tobacco that is amazing to my nose. BTW, love the Terre line, have both the parfum and ETF. I do want to sniff this one but based on what I've heard from you and others so far, I'll probably not be adding it to my collection. We'll see though...Hermes quality is legendary and I'm sure this one is a very well crafted scent like most everything else they've released thus far.

I tested Hermes Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver and I'm kind of disappointed, because of the opening - on my skin is very simple lemon opening, similar to the smell of ordinary lemon essential oil. I own and love the regular Terre edt and Cuore di Pepe Nero by Erbario Toscano, so this new Vetiver edition is a pass for me. It's not bad scent at all - I think it's very elegant and classy, but it's too mature, too old-fashion and formal for my taste. I feel like Christine Nagel took out the best from Terre edt and put in something ordinary. Terre EDT is more happy, more pleasant and positive scent, that's why I'm not big fan of Intense Vetiver. I would go for Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDT instead of even Lalique Encre Noire Sport, because these scents got a lot better opening... and exactly the opening + that mix of lemon-green pepper in Intense Vetiver is not good enough for me. How good is the projection and how long does it radiate out until it sits close to the skin?? Cause for $135, I'd want it to project out for at least 2 hours and last at least 7 hours......

I’ve owned and sold TDH twice. I think I like it but soon find it a bit monotonous and soulless, and so part with it. Also, although I’m not one of the people who are obsessed with ‘ladies reactions’ I have found that women seem to dislike TDH, and vetiver scents in general. I’d never wear a vetiver on a date. My impression is that the "Eau" in the name is not meant to indicate a water note. I was under the impression that the "Eau Intense Vetiver" indicates that, like "Eau de Parfum" and "Eau de Toilette," this too is an "Eau" (an EdP, actually), but to creatively distinguish it from the TdH EdP they called it "Eau Intense" ("intense," in its being a parfum), specifically more "intense" in the vetiver note.

I don’t own a single TDH fragrance. The original was a little too mature, the Parfum smelled rotten to me, and the Fraiche was way too bitter for me. Maybe this new one will be the one for me

Hi Sebastian, I have the new one for a week now. To me the it smells not the same like the original and eau fraiche, for me this leans to the citrus side with a pinch more vetiver, more in the vain like TF grey vetiver EDP. I think it's different enough, I actually had ( and this doesn't happen too often ) someone who wears the original ask me what I was wearing, he might have picked up similarities, but he couldn't guess it. I think it's a solid release, worth checking out, but indeed check out of it's not redundant for your feeling's

I was a little surprised when I first tried it out. It definitely has Hermès DNA but my initial reaction with the opening was that it remained me of Hermès eau de rhubarbe. (With it’s sour, tart fruitiness) What are your thoughts about this?
