Yes! I’ve done something similar in one of my house builds, built a fridge in the kitchen that opened up into a big underground walk in freezer. Unlit campfires also work amazingly for a build like that because you can still put food on them. It’s a really cool way to store raw meat and make it look like it’s being stored in shelves, as opposed to just chests where you can’t see them until you open it up.

It would be funny to put a kiddie ride in front of the supermarket. With some kind of counter to keep track of how many times hermits ride it. I bet it would be a lot more than people would think. You could even smoke salmon on campfires, rename as smoked salmon and sell it for a high price to the snooty Hermits who like to show off. A gold farm and apples might let you start a new trend with golden apples as food for the more distinguished and discerning Hermits.

Don't forget to sell things like buckets of milk, chorus fruit and golden apples too! And eggs--even though they're not edible, they are ingredients for other food. Grocery stores are usually full of signs, so I think there should at least be signs for the departments like Meat, Produce, and Bakery/Deli (bread, cookies, cake, pie, all the stews, and beet soup).

Food shop suggestion for the gamblers on the server. Make a section where you buy a shukler box say for 20 Diamonds with random food in it, you have no idea what you might get, could be 25 stacks of cookies and 2 stacks of golden carrots or whatever the other way around, or even just bad luck and get only rotten flesh. Will definitely help to get rid of the food that is not selling and a fun mini game on the side.

The uncooked stuff should be in the middle where the chest "freezers" are. The cooked stuff in the Ready to Eat section with an armor stand attendant giving away samples. Also you should put the rotten flesh with the bones in the "dog food" aisle. And a "baking" section with wheat and sugar.

xB you might want to check all of the apples in the golden carrot. Watched another Hermits pov and the apples in the barrels still had 2 diamonds a stack. Also what greocery store doesn't have a coin (diamond) ride. Can't remember but wasn't there lama ro horse ride made in Season 7. Might need a permit to charge for it, but that could add in some times with Grian. With the leather you could all ways make a trade with Mumbo.

Steak and Porkchops both give the most haunches, but give less saturation than carrots. Golden Carrots fill less hunger (haunches) but give the most saturation

You should expand the supermarket with a Deli/Soup bar! Have it be almost like a Subway where you can “make your own stew” Basically, you charge money for the bowls, and have both a red and brown mooshroom. In addition, you also have flowers for sale, because when you feed a brown mooshroom flowers it will make the suspicious stew of that kind of flower. Could be a fun way to add a bit of a laugh into the shop! Technically you do have to stock ALL kinds of food!

Tango has a thing for pork, but I think he might already have a farm, although you should ask him for permission to sell cooked pork as "Pork Chop Power!" brand pork chops. Maybe other trademarked things as a nod to previous seasons? Perhaps a "Soup Group" soup brand? I think if you want to lay into the costumes angle, you should convert one of the back areas into a deli counter that only sells the raw meats. Have a counter for Beef to stand behind, if he wants to, or plop in a villager or something as the butcher. Also, you should dress the ender chests up to make them look more like ATMs. But I think then you should only have one in the store.

Love the idea of selling cooked & raw versions of stuff, but this is a grocery. You need more sections: a produce section (mushrooms beets potatoes carrots berries pumpkins whole and sliced melons apples), bakery (bread cookies pies cakes), dairy section (milk buckets eggs), dry goods (wheat coco beans sugar), butcher section (raw pork chicken mutton beef rabbit cod salmon), deli (cooked meats mushroom beetroot and rabbit stews golden carrots baked potatoes ), a pharmacy/drugs section (flowers and ready-made suspicious stews golden apples golden carrots fermented spider eyes netherwort), and pet food section (rotten flesh seeds of all kinds sea grass slime balls magma creams)

A suggestion... you have organic and GMO goods? Could you give a random action to consuming GMO food? Eating a GMO food could have a 1% chance of doing a random effect. Some good, some bad. Makes them grow or shrink? Makes them blind or gives night vision. You could just have the effects on a time lapse. Or you could give organic food a 5% chance of removing the GMO effect. It also gives you a reason to charge a little more for organic.

Just started the episode, but an idea on the cake. Do a stamp/punch card! If they have 10 or whatever set number of "punches/stamps" on the card, they get the free cake there! You could make a hopper system. If they put in a non-punched after they purchase food, they'll put it somewhere and then get one punch/stamp item, and so on with the number of punch/stamps. once they get 10 or however much, they can get a free cake! Cake is annoying to craft, imo, so I think this would keep you from having to constantly make the cakes. (Also can help with people from buying one item, grabbing a cake, buying an item, getting a cake, etc. knowing some hermits, *cough doc cough*, it's a loophole that someone would totally exploit, lol.)

Actually the saturation is what you use up to heal if I remember right, so if golden carrots give more saturation, they are better for healing, plus they give only 3 hunger bars, so you can eat more of them to fill up your hunger bar, so you get even more saturation.

At last! ❤ I was beginning to think I was the only one who builds farms from the bottom, starting with the storage. 😅 In my single player world with access only via mobile, I’m not rich enough to let anything despawn, whether blocks or supplies. I want the collection system up and running at the start to catch anything I drop, as well as first “fruits”. When the farm purports to give “three stacks in just five minutes”, why chance losing them while adding storage? #allTheFood 🤔 You could sell “ready to eat” “A Balanced Diet” kits! Drive home the food nature of all the things. 😉 🤔 Hmmm….how many of the “new kids” have gotten the “How Did We Get Here” achievement? I wonder if anyone plans to set that up, this season?

@@edwardscott3262Golden apples are not great as food, as their nutritional values are the same as those of regular apples. It's the enchanted golden apples that are really good. Regular golden apples only give a bit of temporary bonus health and regeneration. Golden carrots give a whole lot of saturation, which makes them one of the best foods in the game (together with steak and cooked porkchop).

Mayby some cold storage for raw meat and fish so they lay on bed of ice and cooked meat and fish could lay on grill. One way gates to entrance and exit would be a good idea. And finally moving the fine dining like golden carrots and golden apples to last so customer has to go trough the whole store to get them!
