As someone who has worked in grocery and been in those industrial freezers, the different light levels coming from the copper bulbs is pretty dang accurate. I'd even suggest leaving one in the off state so that it looks burned out. Full immersion would be to make one of them constantly blink, but that's probably more effort than it's worth.

I thought your audio sounded good after you said you had tweaked somethings when starting the freezer. As the copper bulbs oxidize, they lose light output. Grian does a little bit in the permit building and to turn the lights on he hits the bulb with his axe a couple times. The freezer looks great.

Messing with OBS is absolutely the biggest pain in the neck. It makes a special kind of tired for sure. Things are definitely coming together though. Awesome episode!

I've mentioned this on beef's video, the shop is awesome but its missing a checkout counter and a cashier, the very place where people can pay for the food they bought and of course every store needs shopping bags ( shulker boxes ) that you can add to their receipt as an extra charge and also, you can make use of the mail system to deliver the food that people ordered thru the mail as well

The Copper Lamps in the freezer emit different levels of light based on their oxidation state. So those fully oxidized lamps are basically providing very little light, you'll want to Axe them back a stage or 2 and then wax them.

Cardboard boxes in the freezer have a wax lining on the inside stopping them from becoming wet about 85% of the tine 😂

I think a light source block goes through snow so that would work for freezer lighting, if that doesn't work you could use a white carpet which looks like snow/ice too and it could add some texture, also the sea lantern block would look a bit like fluorescent lights on the ceiling and that might work even better if you put it above a block of glass

copper bulbs give of a different light level depending on how oxidized they are. you can wax them to keep the state you want!

I am just watching the freezer part. If you can fit it, you can put a silk touched nether quartz to look like meat with ribs (sorry I know that sounds gross to some people). This grocery is looking so good. I love the attention to detail. PS: Thought the audio sounded great, no noticeable difference for me from past episodes. As a note, not sure if helpful, I do not use headphones when I watch.

Freezer is looking cool. Still prefer XBeef's for a shop name even more so now with Beeralis having a promotional area XB + Bee + Beef. Rather than the puddle at the bottom of your drop shaft, what about a fence gate below the froglight and a water source on the froglight's level. Slightly cleaner look and your fall still gets broken

XB, I recommend recording separate audio tracks for game audio, player voice chat audio and your mic input. that way, if you feels like some audio, for example other hermits volume, isn't up to snuff but don't feel like re recording, you can tweak it in post easily.

Since its in-game voice chat, not really sure how to go about getting that into a separate track and still be able to hear it myself. If it was discord, it would be easy.

But iirc, Impulse touched on the subject of streaming/recording with separate multiple audio tracks a couple livestreams ago, though I can't recall the specific technicalities. But still, you can assign separate audio tracks for the game and your mic using the ticking the audio capture on window capture source settings, or use a dedicated audio capture source. Then assign track 1 for everything and monitoring your mic, track 2 for program/game only, track 3 for mic only. That worked for me so far. OBS is a bit tedious to set up (I myself is still learning it for broadcasting class), but it's quite powerful considering it's also free. Personally, I think your mic audio is great, it just the game/other hermits is quieter compared to yours. Also yeah I agree with Joe, a grocer needs a jingle. Anyway, I'll see you in the next vids!

a few tips for obs from experience: i use hitfilm to edit the vids and i find it much easier to have my recorded footage set to 30fps and mp4 format. just my two cents, it might not apply to your editing software but those two settings helps me avoid headaches 😂 hopefully obs treats you well xb!

You could cover the drop chute and bubble-vator to the mine with trap doors. You can rig up a trip wire to close the trap door after you drop through. And the bubble-vator trap door could be waterlogged.

Use slabe across your nether portal instead of full blocks to stop anything going through, benefit is you only have to crouch to go into it.

An idea to extend the mod/datapack that renders images onto shulker boxes... Render a small diamond symbol, or colour the handle, of any chest/barrel/shulker that contains diamonds/diamond blocks/diamond ores. Then you would be able to see where your sales are, without having to open every single inventory in every single shop.

XB, OBS is great, just make sure to record in MKV and then convert to MP4 from OBS since MP4 tends to corrupt if OBS crashes, power goes out etc... You have the option to auto-convert as soon as you stop recording. Also nice interaction with Papa K :D
