@@toxicfox6867 I mean you’d have to find a program to use. I use adobe illustrator but that’s a bit steep for most beginners, I can recommend using a program like procreate (if you have an iPad or tablet) or anything you find honestly. Another thing I would really recommend it to get yourself a notebook and whenever you feel inspired to draw in the notebook. You can go into technical design without a plan but it’s often more difficult and frustrating (for me at least) especially when things don’t turn out how you want, but if you sketch out a plan to guide you that can be a big help, it dosent even need to be a good drawing or anything just a layout to help guide you.

As an Aerospace engineering student -'Water dynamics' could be fluid dynamics or hydrodynamics. Close enough though -Your structure is cantilevered. Not impossible but realistically its gonna start bending and oscillating at the lowest bit of force. If you want it to 'feel' secure you could add either an angled bracket support below it or above. Hell for above you could use 'cables' (which I have done before with leads. Hiding a mob up top to tie it to)

There's a limit of how deep it can go for it to have noticeable effect (as if too deep wont change anything since the distance is to far) Moreless depends on the material properties (ie Young's Modulus) for its strength and stiffness

It's really just down to how strong the connection is, and what materials are being used. But, yes going in further (into the mountain) would make it stronger, going out further would make it less stable. I wouldn't trust any material to hold a connection like that, though. It's one of those times where it's better to sacrifice realism for gameplay, since if you were backwards you couldn't see where you're going. Now there are small boats like canoes and kayaks that you paddle facing forwards, but the paddles you use for that are pretty different from the oars on a minecraft boat. It's one big one that you alternate sides with rather than the two smaller ones. ...Man, it's been forever since I've kayaked. I need to find an excuse to do that again. And a kayak.
