The spite-fueled wingless nether journey is more proof to my theory that Scar's survivability is directly proportional to how dangerous the situation is. Man can make it 2000 blocks across the nether wingless with a stack of diamonds but gets into a death loop hanging around the train.

Scar! While bdubs idea of moving the mailbox is cleaver, it can easily break the mail system for you since your mailbox has a chance of not being chunk loaded. Based on how far you moved it. They will probably need to move the portal setup. Otherwise you might have things get lost in the mail.

Others said that when he told everyone about that in the last video. I wasn't aware of this until I saw other comments as well, but Scar asked Tango if he(Scar) could move it, and Tango said that it shouldn't be an issue.

The idea as I understood it was to just move the incoming and outgoing items with water streams, leaving the technical part where it is and only moving the interface. That would be fine, especially since it's just a few chunks away.

The VODs of that bastion raid have a ton of comments expressing hope that the bold Sir Scar's POV was recorded and uploaded, so glad it has been! I wouldn't call that misadventure (or any multi-Hermit interactions) "boring" in the slightest. Also, you are absolutely right that the snails need names. I love how everyone's reaction so far has been "It's messing with my base and I want it moved, but it's so cute!"

You are correct about how to use the upgrade. HOWEVER, DO NOT use the upgrade without duplicating it first! I made this mistake and it cost me so much time. you can craft more upgrades by using 7 diamonds, 1 upgrade, and a netherrack. It will give you two upgrades and consume 1. You don't have to get more of those ever again as long as you always keep some extra to duplicate.

​@@WhatIsMyPorpoise I don't think you're entirely wrong, but don't rule out the idea he really plays up the naivety and whimsy, because that's the GoodTimeWithScar character/persona. Man's a gamer's gamer, (read: sweaty CoD background) he just knows how to make even the most mundane task as entertaining as possible for the audience. Think of his goofs as easter eggs for the more experienced players. Like flying through single block gaps during build flybys with half a heart or refusing to eat with only a drumstick or two of saturation for no good reason. It's also great engagement bait for know-it-all viewers who can't help themselves but try to own creators they perceive as noobs when creators do something seemingly foolish or in a suboptimal manner.

The interaction between Hermits is why I watch! I used to only watch Grian and then saw Gem so I also started watching her. Things like the post office made me watch Pearl and Tango. I also watch Joel since this season. I started watching your videos in season 8 I believe because I liked your personality from Grian’s POV. Showing the interactions is also a way to help boost your fellow Hermits’ content while also keeping some variety in your own! It’s what really sells Hermitcraft ☺️ All the different personalities that still tie together so well is a masterpiece

16:30 Before you use the Template, duplicate it by crafting it with a block of netherrack and seven diamonds. That way you can have as many as you want. Then you put the tool, a Template, and a netherite ingot in the smithing table to turn it into netherite.

I know this isn't really of relevance to this video, but when you were at the permit office asking for Mob permits, I had an idea that you could probably get away with a lot of sneaky things. Like becoming the head of mob wellness, treatment and conservation foundation, where you can inspect the farms that supply the shops to make sure they are "up to code" and humane, willing to over look some minor infractions for a small donation to the foundation
