I am still baffled that the hemritcraft fandom let me go so long without knowing about rhe Mumbo and Iskall duo being a thing I had to go back and watch hc7 myself to discover the amzingness that is Iskall (+ his dynamic with mumbo)

Dude if you want to see the bromance of a lifetime, you have to start with watching both Iskall and Mumbo in season 4, the season Iskall (and Ren, Scar, Cub, Wels all join from Iskall’s Kingdomcraft server). Iskall and Mumbo had never met and never spoken. That didn’t stop Iskall. You’ll be amazed how how awkward they were in the beginning (especially Mumbo because he just didn’t tend to interact with anybody back then). But with a dozen episodes you’ll see Iskall constantly featured or mentioned/praised in Mumbo’s episodes and vice versa for Iskall’s episodes. They didn’t start with end-busting (they didn’t even have shulkers til months later in the game/season) but instead, their first collab was lag-busting lol Iskall and Mumbo had build battles where they would dedicate a whole episode to building something on the server behind a giant stone wall and then not reveal the other’s build so it forced you to go watch the other’s episode because they did polls on who built it better xD At the end of Season 4, Mumbo’s finale was basically Iskall Iskall Iskall 🥰. Same with Season 5, but Season 6 kicked it into high gear as they did industrial district competitions and of course, the Sahara redstone and meetings. Even still when Mumbo would stream he’d always have so many lovely things to say about Iskall he’d keep talking about him if he wasn’t reading chat. And then in Season 7, hermit challenges really brought out the best in both of them. Problem is, once Grian joined in Season 6, he sucked out all of the air/spotlight from other hermits and he’s still doing that. Iskall’s pranks on Beef and his trap with Ren & Beef on Bdubs have been the funniest content on the server. Joel and Grian’s trap on xB, however, is anything anyone will talk about. But if you watch both traps (Joel or Grian’s episodes vs Beef’s or Iskall’s episodes as well as Ren’s you’ll see who is actually competent and the journey is so much funnier. Anyway, I’m glad Iskall and Mumbo are back to casual hangouts again because they have chemistry that makes magic out of seemingly thin air.

I started watching HC in the middle of season 6 and only watched because I was just starting to play Minecraft and looking things up and came across Tango's content with villagers and wanted to see more of him. From there I watched Mumbo and then Grian because even b4 I looked up Minecraft KZbin would reccomend their content. I found the building tutorials kinda boring but their HC content was chef's kiss. It was through their collabs that I found Iskall and fell in love with his unhinged laugh. Now I watch 8 hermits. Though I enjoy them all through Hermit Recap. All of them are unique and when they get together they don't take away from each other but enhance the fun in my opinion.

Iskall that intro where you randomly just copied beefs house was glorious, so out of the blue, was really not expecting that and i feel like thats a fresh thing, often there is the "hello welcome back, today we're gonna do this and this and this" and when i know what to expect i get kinda bored honestly. really loving this season, it's fresh and spontaneous.

There is one Magical thing that seems to happen sometime with Iskall's videos. His ability to make me want to play Minecraft. I burnt out pretty severely on MC. Playing his mudpack Vault Hunters Season 3. Which it was Iskall and the 1.16 mod pack that had brought me back to minecraft after my last burn out. Once again... Watching this vide... That flicker just went off. I haven't played regular minecraft Since 1.18 on a real single player world. Thank you Iskall. It's time I came back home. To the game I love the most!

I love how clear it is that Iskall is having a ton of fun this season; seems to go with the flow and really focuses on having a great time, which is awesome. The episodes have been so consistently funny and chaotic, and his pure enjoyment of everything this season has definitely helped to naturally strengthen that aspect of each video

I’d still take the unhinged as a compliment, it’s more like being out of control and/or doing unexpected things, which is basically your goal if I understood correctly 😅. Having fun, lots of shenanigans and not too much planning. It’s basically impossible to guess what you’ll do next, which makes it fun to watch and makes people look forward to what’s next 😁😂 I, for one, laughed so hard during the first bit when you built the house all ‘innocently’ and then the part with Beef (poor guy 😅😂).
