Yup, should be enderman and ghast sounds though. It's not halloween without the ghosty-bois (they remind me of Big Boo from the Mario franchise and he is infamous for his jumping). They also make a proper jumpscare noises like the enderman with their screeching. The breeze wont elicit much of a reaction if say they happen to not be looking towards it and back into it or something.

Absolutely relate to the dog harvesting carrots. My dog used to steal entire ears of corn from my neighbors fields. He was mostly fine with it, he had plenty and it was near impossible to stop her, but it was very funny.

@@GoldAndBlue carrots when ripe have a distinct smell it's faint for humans but for dogs it's not. You could replicate what the dog smells by buying a ton of carrots and putting them in a small space with no ventilation for a day or two (this whole comment is mostly a hypothesis)

Lore idea: Ever since the monster (the kraken thingy) appeared, everyone was terrified. So much so, they didn’t do anything. In fact, some thought it was best to bow down to it, treating it like a god so it would have mercy. However, people were so secluded that the didn’t really say anything, and they let their once bright town fade into corruption and rot. There was only a small group of people willing to speak out, calling to fight back. However, they were ignored, for their ideas were too bold to the quiet people that lived here. As the sky turned gray and hope was nearly dead, they began to get persecuted by the people worshiping the monster, who then ran the town. They went into hiding, yet many didn’t make it. However, they haven’t caved in. They’re still fighting back, whether it be chanting ancient runes and pleading to any gods that could help or leaving little traces behind so the next generations can piece together the story and rid the town of its dark curse. Edit: DAMN I knew it was long but sheesh, I need to calm down

If you wire the redstone to a Copper Bulb and run a Redstone Comparator out of it, you can make it so that the sound effect only plays every other time the mechanism triggers; basically, only when it jumps out at you. You could also have the Comparator run into a block with a redstone torch to invert that signal and make it sound for when the armor stand returns to the ground.

If you use an item frame and armor stand book with a redstone circuit, you can dynamically change the scarecrow pose back and forth. So when they are resting on the surface, they start moving, like pointing or scary pose.

talking about dogs harvesting produce, when i was little my family had an old english sheepdog named barnaby and while he had been the runt of his litter, for some reason he used to love shucking corn. my dad would just throw him a whole corn on the cob and barnaby would shuck all the leaves off, leaving the corn intact. mind though that this was an old english sheepdog. their mouths aren't really food safe, which would drive me to have to shuck corn if i wanted to have corn on the cob not covered in dog slobber.

Honestly super fun an creative use of redstone. I watch a lot of tengo, Mumbo, and impluse so I'm very used to industrious use of redstone. Super smelters, auto crafters, games. This is builder redstone right here Gem. Would be awesome to see you do a haunted house for the hermits to go through with pop up pumpkin men and skeletons. Get a creepy music disc to top it off. The Patch is fun.

I really must applaud you on your base this season. Secrets are a must in any large base and in any location to add depth and a sense of exploration. For those who play Splatoon, yall know they are awful at this. Every game the city gets better and better but also more constricting, and they actively go out of their way to patch out any glitches, however harmless, that let you get to somewhere they didn't intend for you to be in. Gem, your base is coming out amazingly. The builds are top notch, the lore adds a great layer of tastiness but is far more than just icing on the cake, and it's clear you're going for the "big, little, big" way of looking at this, getting a general idea of the big picture, then working out all the tiny details that give it depth, then relooking at the big picture with them in mind, which is a great methodology for both critical reading and effective writing, and in this case building. Well done!

The delay of the redstone repeater at 10:51 is actually 3. At the default level, you have a delay of 1 (redstone) tick. With each click, the delay increases by one, up to a maximum of 4. So if you click on the repeater twice, it will be set to a delay of 3. ;)

Props to Gem for working out the redstone entirely on her own. Sure, it would have been easy to run it by one of her multiple redstoner neighbors and have them blitz through it, but she took the time to figure things out, adapted to the unexpected behaviours, and ended up making a completely unique redstone machine!

my labby also used to harvest our veggies! although she was very good. would pick up one sweet potatoe for breakfast each day and that was all! it was actually really good because they were taking over half the garden lol
