I think a cool idea for the gems at the shop would be to build a treasure chest that they sit in instead of just being placed on the ground. Would add an awesome detail to the shop and also be a good focal point which could draw other hermits to the shop.

A quick tip. is leaf more gap that leaf, you will need so many to fill it all up, trees are not packed with leaf! they are mostly air. so use netherrakk to fill up the space and then pine it out, that way the tree looks loads better as its spacious and airy. you will just block out all the light if you fill it all up and it will be dark under it. the tree wil be able to get much bigger faster if you dont fill it all up.
