Hermitcraft season 8 episode 14! We start out Ep 14 of Hermitcraft S8 by looking at my now finished mega Swaggon starter base and build a trap for Bdubs in the Big Eye shopping district. We build a fake cake shop with an explosive charged creeper surprise. But nothing goes to plan and we blow the build-up multiple time and ourselves. This was one of the hardest videos to make ever! Scar, Use a Lightning Rod. Get creepers either by a farm or otherwise, and get them all together around the Lighting rod. Wait for a storm, then the Lightning rod will attract ligthning and thus charge the creepers. This way you can get a bunch of charged creepers at once. You can wall in the area where the Lighting rod is, so the creepers also can be stored in a less hazardous way. depending on how you prepare the area, retreiving a charged creeper at will, can also become a breeze this way.

Tip for the charged creepers(and normal creepers also): Tip 1: They can only explode if they have direct eye contact with you, so you can have then in a 2x2x1 box with a block on the upper part, and a slab on the feet and the creepers shouldn't explode. Tip 2: THe easiest way to transport them is with minecarts, youuu can either place the minecart in front of the creeper or lure them to it, but the best way is to either place powered rails and make it so the minecart goes away from you, so the creeper doesn't explode, or to use 2 minecarts, one for the creeper and a second one would be empty, bt it wold push the creeper in the rails.

Honestly, I used to never watch any other Hermitcraft players until recently, mostly because I needed stuff to watch after catching up with Mumbo and Grian, and to see other POV's in 3rd/Last Life because of the faction-ish aspect of it to see how others start up and form bonds. Now that I've branched out I love Scar, he's so kind and the part where he complimented Mumbo branching out, and Cub's dripstone canyon made me smile. I think I am going to keep branching out, probably Cub next. I wish I started watching others sooner.

I recommend using open trap doors to get creepers into holes. Mobs see them as full blocks and think they can walk into them. So just have a block for them to hit their head on so they can't jump, and open a trap door behind you.

Hey Scar! I have an idea for the Botem Headquarters/Shop. The idea is that The Botem hole/pole will have a stone mound over it and on top of the mound will be a massive lighthouse. Now inside the mound there will be a path going around the hole/pole and diverging into five different sections of the cave. One will be a train station for the G-Train another a garage for the Swaggon another is a greenhouse made for Harmless Harvests another a chocolate river made for Impulses candy shop and the last being whatever shop that Pearl has. I really hope you like this idea for the HQ/Shop.

Scar is still extremely confused about Invisibility potions I see, so I'll explain as best as I can. Firstly, invisibility only works if you have no armor on (including things like elytra and your hat) Invisibility also doesn't work if you are holding any items (which explains why the creeper suddenly stops following you at 15:30 until you scroll to your rockets) Invisibility also doesn't work if you collide with or touch anything, and that includes getting into a boat with them Finally, if something finds you when you're Invisibile, even if you remove what they saw, they will still chase you until you leave their line of sight (but when you come back they'll be safe again If I missed anything or said something wrong please correct me, and let's all hope Scar sees this

They changed detection a while ago so it's a lot more forgiving. Now items and armor only add a fairly small amount to the detection chance/radius instead of almost completely cancelling out the effect.

This video gave me secondhand frustration. After having things (literally) blow up in your face that many times, most of us would be about ready to hurl our keyboard through our monitor 😅 The despair was quite audible in his voice after awhile, poor guy 😂 Hope someone gave Scar a big hug after that!
