JESUS KNOCKS ON YOUR HEART AND LONGS FOR YOU TO ANSWER! HE DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ANYONE PERISH INTO HELL. GOD LOVES YOU SO HE GIVES YOU FREE WILL AND A CHOICE TO ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM. TO LOVE HIM OR TO LOVE SIN/THIS WORLD. CALL UPON JESUS & ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS! SURRENDER YOUR WILL & YOUR LIFE TO HIM AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT SO IF YOU REJECT HIM YOU WILL BE SEPARATED FROM HIM & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE WITHOUT GOD OR PEOPLE, YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, YOU WILL BE IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER! GOD IS JUST SO HE MUST PUNISH SIN & HE IS HOLY SO NO SIN CAN ENTER HIS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST ON JUDGEMENT DAY GOD WILL SEE YOU AS HIS PERFECT SON (SINLESS SINCE YOUR SINS ARE COVERED BY JESUS' OFFERING). YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT/SACRIFICE & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH HIM & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS TO HIM. WE'RE ALL GUILTY WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS' SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS! I really like how you are not just implementing suggestions of very hermit, but how you are showing those small lessons in your videos. You can see how much everyone knows there but yet how humble the hermits are. I would maybe add some kind of trim between the end rock and the bricks. Does not need to be a different material, inverted stairs maybe would do it. But I am no expert and no hermit! :D
@CharmChampion

I agree on the trim idea! Granite could be a nice touch. With some brick through in to mirror the upper texturing.

Yeah, upside down stairs to add a little shape between the endstone and the brick would look good. Not as flat, and makes the base look a little more substantial?

The consultations are a really nice format to give more insight in the thought process (and I really like the 3rd person framing of the conversations). The base is nice, the trees are top notch - all the changes feel very deliberate and thought-through! Also: I smiled at 15:00, Impulse politely waiting by his house waiting for you to finish your recording :D

Hey Joe, absolutely LOVING the colabs and crowdsourcing ideas for your base. While you and Bdubs were chatting about roof texturing I remembered some techniques I learned from MythicalSausage about making roofs and buildings look more broken and decrepid. He uses stairs and slabs in his rooves and walls to leave intentional holes and gaps to show the decay of the blocks. Maybe you could use this idea to add a greater feeling of decay to your build. Happy Building!

The building looks a bit flat where the brick walls meet the end stone base. I think you could add some depth by pulling out the base one block and replacing the top row of end stone blocks with stairs.

I love the landscaping and the fallen birch trees. I love the iterative nature of this build too, it's good to hear talented people talk about the things they're good at. As a suggestion though, is it possible to make the endstone foundation a little thicker than the house itself? at the moment it looks a little unsupported and a thicker foundation would add more depth too

I like the lichen on the trees that wandered from your trees onto the birch trees. In spite of someone trying to prevent that by felling some of the birch trees. That’s a little bit of environmental story-telling right there. And that’s some of the coolest stuff you can add to a build. So I suggest you try to do more like that. Because I would love to see it. 💙

I absolutely love the lichen-covered tree design, they really look like they’re dead and covered in spiderwebs : D One thing I’d suggest is adding some brighter elements higher on the build (eg, making the windows shutters out of birch wood, or adding some bright colored deco on the roof) as currently the values feel a bit unbalances - you have a bright base, mid-range walls and dark roof; you brought some of the dark value over to the stairs at the base and it makes the base really pop, but the rest of the build blends together a bit. That said, I love how collaborative this build feels, with you implementing feedback from other hermits : D

3:08 - ElyBeatmaker, you know what to do! I was also thinking brick walls (not too many, though) on some of the outer corners a block over from the windows to give it a more decayed look would look nice, too. The end stone and brick do need a transition block (or trapdoor, etc.)

I really like the getting-tips coop format. Not only does it give insights into how other hermits approach building, it also is very interesting to see the impact each input has one the build progress. And building around a narrative (like B-Dubs said) really is a great tip! The idea of trees being chopped down to prevent “the evil” from spreading is really nice. Maybe you can make some of the tree trunks on the ground have some of the gray decay already halfway eating through them.

been loving the input of various hermits on the house segments but i hope in the future when using a seperate camera angle like that you can in a vc group (dont know what its called in the mod you're using) so the audio of the other hermit isn't going left to right constantly. the audio is disconnected from the camera angle and it can get very distracting. and have a nice day :)

A building tutorial from the man himself. Man… you’re so lucky on hermitcraft. I would feel soooo nervous to get a opinion on my build from bdubs 🙈🙈🙈
