To justify the high pressure jets of water that are holding up your base, you should build heavy duty pipes and ground equipment underneath the pillars. I love the idea of this machine that extends deep underground to turn geothermal energy and underground lakes into jets of water that keep the vault elevated. This could support the previously suggested idea of shooting items from farms below ( in the machine ) up through the pillars in bubble elevators to the vault ( and presumably sorting system ) above. Edit: removed duplicate wording

I noticed that a lot of hermitcraft creators almost seem to burn out, or at least get close to it, towards the end of each season. I love the idea of detailing your plans and asking our opinions. It allows us to connect even more with you and your builds. Being surprised by a build and everything is cool, understanding and being invested in your project, your vision, is far more interesting. Please do more of these when appropriate. Fantastic episode,

That water pillar design is genius it looks so good! Also sounds like Mumbo is building his own Hermitopia and I'm very hyped for this

I'm really excited to see how that'll turn out in the future. And episodes like this are absolutely enjoyable.

12:35 Mumbo takes his first step into shadow gradients. Prismarine -> Oxidised Copper Block -> Warped Fence Gate. Can't wait for season 10 when new viewers say "fake" when people talk about how Mumbo used to not be able to build 5 years ago.

I’ll admit I was having trouble getting super invested in this build after the re-join, probably because I didn’t fully understand what the vision was/felt a bit lost on where it was going, so now that you’ve explained this cool idea that has purpose and innovation and inspiration behind it, I really get it and I’m properly invested & really excited to see the progress from here on! So I think it was a great decision to do this episode like this. Thanks for bringing us along for the process on this one

Don't forget Swift Sneak exists, it would probably have made all the tearing down a lot faster and easier.

I absolutely love the idea of like a Harvest Tower in the build! I think it would be fun and fitting if you transported all the items through water canals and aqueducts like you had near the pit when you first started this season!!! Especially since the bridge pillars are water streams too

17:53 Maybe you could try to make it look like a tesla coil (or a plasma globe). I feel like that could give it the height so that it can compliment Grians base and also would work quite well with the already established vibe of the build.

Love, love, LOVE seeing the planning and “behind the scenes” content. It makes me as a viewer feel more “a part of,” and I think it also gives me the opportunity to learn how to build and come up with ideas of my own. Thank you for sharing with us.

Maybe keep an area spare for Pearl to add a recycling bin into your base. For an estimate of space, look out around Scar's base as he has one installed.

Love the slower paced video! Thanks for showing the thought processes. If you need more copper, doc has an insane copper farm. He just needs another hermit to afk on a platform. Also, Xisuma has an automated copper aging farm called David ;)

On the water pillars, it might be cool to have the various midpoint rings at different heights, to give the impression that they are suspended in some sort of energy field and hovering up and down in place

the callback to hermitcraft season 4 made me feel so old despite only being THIRTEEN when it began. that series was 100% all of my minecraft inspiration for years (and in a lot of ways, still is). Still holding onto the dream of becoming a big enough MCYT to be invited lol. Thanks again for the childhood memories mumbo :3

Honestly since your theme is going towards an evil lair I would suggest making it kind of like a city of evil towers and each tower being black with a different accent colour. So the bridge is black and aquamarine. The center tower with the first farms is black and blue for example and so on. Lastly make every tower very different in height floorsize and the actual wall layout. It is a lot of work but you could end up with something very unique.

I enjoy watching the thinking process, hope i get to see it more. also the pillars, i think less of them would look better, and maybe try bubble elevators to give it a force field like effect (like pushed up by an invisible force)
@DrakeSingularity Жыл бұрын
Following the paradox of the water pillars looking more solid without blocks within it, perhaps add blocks in a dashed or some disconnected manner. As long as it’s not just a line of blocks connecting the top and bottom and is instead just a “pattern” you can see in the water, it may still give that solid feel. Maybe something like a gap of three, 2 end rods, gap of three, 2 end rods, etc

To make your base pop up more you should make the walls go down the hill a little bit and add pipes-like structures around it, it should make it feel bigger!

I really like the idea of the whole pillar things but replace the water with lava and I think it would look 10x more demonic and also mysterious at the same time

It'd be cool to dig under the base all the way to bedrock so there's a great big hole almost like a parameter around your farm tower. Would be cool to see the water pillars shoot all the way down.

I would love to see stained glass like blue or tinted in the middle of the water pillar so it looks like deep ocean water.

Alright, so here’s my idea, build up the farms in the center, and have ladders in the corner and like, 2 block walkways with a height of 4 blocks, and on the outer walls, facing away from the farm you can have your storage. I’m not really a redstone guy, so I’m unsure how the sorting part of that idea would go, but it sure would be aesthetically pleasing.

You running through your thought process and all the struggles of being a builder on camera is incredibly refreshing and based, Mumbo. A lot of ccs skip straight to having things all figured out, which gives the illusion that the in-between steps aren't necessary for them or even that it's a waste of time. I know the exact feeling of jumping around one's base trying to work out what to do. You're keeping it real over here.
