Going by xB's explanation and demonstration that run's score *did* count. You were close enough to the copper target, it's only if you were a block or so off target that it matters. All verified from xB's own videos and demos to other players. 🖤

I'm glad that clip with Gem and Impulse is in the video because I joined the stream and first thing I saw was everyone wearing beards and then Impulse saying "do you want a million dollars?" And walking away and I was figuring I missed the context and was very confused. Also that terraforming looks phenomenal, I hope you can finish terraforming the entire Island by the end because that sounds insane! I'm also excited to see what happens with Hermit Dares.

I was on Impulse's stream, an my favourite part was just impulse pearl and scar chatting for like 20 mins, and them being forced to listen to a star wars rant from scar

I get that they can't include _everything_ from the streams in their videos, but I was a little sad that the bit from just before the beards didn't make the cut. Basically Gem & Impulse started using Pearl for target practice across the river, then Pearl tried the same and it ended with a most impressively explosive death by Pearl off of Gem's Sea Lantern pillar when Gem sniped her from the air. I was watching Impulse's stream when it happened, but went back and watched the VODs from both Pearl's and Impulse's perspectives and it was funny both ways.

Unfortunately I did not have a recording of that part on my end without using the stream VOD version that includes the overlays. I only have the clean format when I press record on my software, where the kill was somewhat unexpected and I wasn't prepared for pressing the button. :)

@@PearlescentMoon Have you considered using something like Nvidia ShadowPlay? That way you're always recording and can save the last 10 or so minutes if something interesting happens.

@@zelious9464 Shadowplay is no different to what I would be using. I record with both OBS for game, and audition for my own mic audio so it's clean. If I wanted, I could record every time I'm online, but do not feel like I need to include every interaction I have; especially when I'm livestreaming. Content for someone else's video that isn't repeated in my own is a good thing. :)

I think you win the pillar war for sure, considering that everyone has started their pillars at different y levels just based on where they started building it. You just did some very important base terraforming that required a tall dirt mountain, and just happened to start it on the dirt.

@@grandbanana6259: I also endorse this idea! Perhaps just barely under the building limit, so that it's properly illuminated at night against mobs? Using a compass to pinpoint the actual spawn-point, I'd love to see a circular illuminated walkway up at maximum height, with a radius of 128, to provide a leisurely panoramic view of what all the Hermits have done around their original area. If it's carefully designed, it would also provide a safe place to combat Phantoms for their membranes, by providing enough open air above you to allow them to spawn, but not enough headspace for them to dive-bomb you, so they'd be forced to attack at eye level instead. The membranes you earn can be sold to those who need to repair their wings.

Ngl, the one thing that sticks out for me re the base is the river itself - it's a proper river on your side, but on his side it's just cleared out and like, two blocks deep. I think a fun thing for you both would be adding some life and texture into the river? :O But MAN that is a gorgeous start to your megabase, it looks SO GOOD. Still love the timelapses, they're perfect. ;O; Although I can't believe it.... you got to customize your pillar and you didn't immediately use diorite to punish Iskall??? Pearl! Perfect opportunity! Pearl your base landscape/terrain is Grand, slightly alien, reminds me of a cross between the Grand Canyon and Wyoming terrain wise. I love it! It would be cool if you could do a little plant life that fit with that terrain to make it pop even a little bit more, or are you saving that for your underground? She could also check out glazed terracotta options, i think grey glazed terracotta has lots of potential in landscaping but you definitely need to use a rotation patern that isn't a spiral meaning ▶️🔽 🔼◀️ Is going to reveal a circle pattern. I think ◀️▶️ 🔼◀️ Is a good pattern for rocks or a riverbed, but definitely mix in some other patterns. (I'm currently building a pallet of all unique glazed terracotta rotations for 2x2 tiles which theoretically can combine into any possible floor, but using a single 2x2 pattern as a wide area floor you only have 23 unique patterns per color)

Please consider, madame, giving to the Papaya-Scape the black boulder-seeds it so clearly wants. The resemblance is already quite strong; the shapes chosen for the stones so closely match the vision that I wonder if, perhaps, you, too, see the uncanny similarity in color palette.
