The “Too expensive” message on the boots is coming from how many times they’ve been through an anvil. You want to combine books so you add prot, feather and depth first, then unbreaking and soul speed, then mending. So as the enchantments you’re adding get cheaper, the cost multiplier gets higher and it stays below the actual expense cap whilst getting you all six in three anvil uses. If you wanted thorns for whatever reason, you’d bump depth and unbreaking down a level each and add it on the first book

Tango! I know this sounds bizarre but try taking a couple antacids for a week. It’s possible your cough originated from sickness but lingers because of the acidity from your coffee. It cured my moms cough she had for over a year when someone suggested it to her.
@bsidethebox2 ай бұрын
That may have had more to do with a reflux issue rather than coffee's acidity--chronic mild reflux can lead to scarring/irritation in the throat, which might make you feel like you need to cough/clear your throat, and a course of Prilosec or a similar acid reducer can give that time to heal up, although it may not solve the underlying reflux issue so def have your mum keep an eye on that. My friend "cured" their ongoing cough and heartburn by drinking apple cider vinegar shots (acidic!)...turns out that can reduce your natural stomach acid production as your body is like...wtf I'm already too acidic, never mind guess I won't. 😅 The American health care system is crap, but I feel like anything off that persists into the month(s) territory is *See A **-Doctor-** **_Nurse Practitioner_*_ they're way easier to get an appt with lol check your insurance benefits to see if you get free calls to a nurse helpline_ *Time.*

My best iron farm came from using an illager instead of zombie so the four villages could be scared all at the same time. Having recreated the decoder in creative, I can confirm its a lil bit magic. Stepping through the whole thing 1 tick at a time with the /tick command is really interesting. The magic all really happens at the part where the control bit is created (with the trapdoor and scaffold), and how that segment activates every line 1 tick after the signal goes through. That timing means that on the decoder that matches a given signal, the rail on top activates, then *de-activates* for 1 GAME tick (half a redstone) tick, then re-activates. This allows the control line to activate the BUD-ed dropper. All the other lines only activate and de-activate once, with a longer active period. I don't fully understand the BUD mechanics though, particularly for droppers.
@Cockneydragon14212 ай бұрын
It is very clever! Some of this is repeating what you have said - The magic in the middle indeed triggers all remaining lines 2 game ticks (gt) after the requested lines - creating fast (requested) and slow signals. The control line is generated 1 gt after the slow signals. At the decoder the control line triggers the dropper all by itself (through QC and updating the rail above it) - I’m pretty sure the rest of the slice passes through/slows down signals that can interrupt this process. The correct slice is made up of fast signals passed through well-before the control (solid block, fast-ON bits), and slow signals delayed further until after the control-line (slow-OFF bits) - allowing successful trigger of dropper. All Other combinations have at least one bit that powers the rail just (1gt) before it can update the QC’d dropper (fast-OFF, slow-ON) preventing successful triggering.

Hey Tango, just a thought but what if the Zombies weren't in boats but were in minecarts, and you put a powered rail on each end with a normal rail in the middle so the zombie goes back and forth, that way the villagers can only get scared when he passes the middle. It would help with breaking line of sight which is what seems to be your issue right now. The villager's have a constant line of sight to him and cannot get any sleep.
@superbelo2 ай бұрын
For the iron farm a simple way to make sure the villagers sleep, is add a block on top of the trapdoor, it will break their line of sight more frequently, and easily allow them all to sleep before the player can. It works well because it only breaks the line of sight when they are close to the block, where as flipping the trap doo basically makes it so they cant see the zombie at all, only when they sleep.
@rupertvass87932 ай бұрын
an even better way is to just have the zombie in a soul sand bubble elevator so that it is constantly becoming non-visible so the villagers will try to sleep and then becoming visible immediately so they cant actually sleep but the game will think they have and they are also always guaranteed to always be scared, unlike with the trapdoor method

But you can't put the dripstone on the mud in any way automatically. Could you use a piston feedtape to use a standard gold farm (built below you) to push the sculk UP to you?

The argument "modders add more stuff!" doesn't make any sense, first, if you played with any amount of mods for a decent amount if time, you'd realize that they're pretty unpolished, and in the end, a lot of mojang stuff are ex-minecraft modders and know all of this already, they just can't get their point across due to these myths and also large youtubers like Pirate Software being "Adding content to minecraft is easy! omg lazy mojhang".

Redstone lingo, I don't know how it works but it's a redstone mechanic. I'm sure someone can give insights about it.
@siubijeni2062 ай бұрын
BUD is block update detection, which is basically what observers do. Before observers were added people came up with all kinds of tricks to create block update detectors (also confusingly called BUDs) which would serve more-or-less the same purpose observers do, but they aren't entirely obsolete because they sometimes work in obtuse ways that are still more useful than an observer would be (such as not being linear). In this case, Tango seems to be referring to budding the dropper as not just detecting updates to the block, but also manipulating/controlling how those updates occur. Basically forcing the dropper to only update (and therefore send a signal via the observer watching it) if it's on the correct slice of the decoder. Another redstone mechanic that might be involved in this is quasi-connectivity, which is the use of diagonally or indirectly "connected" redstone to confuse the game and force abnormal behavior... that's an oversimplification but the shortest explanation I can think of, a lot of redstoners have videos on the subject if you'd like to know more. I'm not sure why the rails extend onto the glass blocks above the droppers if they are not related to quasi-connectivity, but that might be part of the mechanism which manipulates the BUD to only fire when they want it to.

Never mind all the vanilla-styled uses mods have added for it over the years... Quark might be the best example of that, letting you feed it to baby mobs to stunt their growth. Instead we have a _completely_ deadweight item that only gets kept by people doing the "collect every item in Minecraft" challenges. Bad game design that the lead designer is unapologetically proud of, so it's pretty easy to think he had a hand in picking the theme of this april fools update... he's shown himself to be petty enough.
