Hey X, not sure if you're aware but I've noticed an issue in a couple of your videos recently. Sometimes there's this weird shading/render glitch for a half second or two. I haven't really been paying attention but I think it tends to happen right after a cut/scene change. In this video you can see it quite clearly in the scene change from 20:58 to 20:59. If you're just watching it's quite easy to miss so not a big deal but I know most content creators would want to at least have a go at fixing it so I figured I'd mention it. Keep up the good work, you're putting out high quality stuff! :)

The Wither and fixing the Iron Golem seems to be a funny ( and expensive) way to dig a tunnel, though it's hard to control the direction. To pacify angry zombie piglins might be like bees (I had some accidents with my free range bees getting stuck in boats), which means you need to move away from them (not sure if you need to unload the chunks) for a little then come back.

sending your simulation distance down to 2 can also help with the piglins, as less piglins will be around you, and as you move away from the angered ones, the new ones won't be angry anymore. I think. It worked for me a couple times and I think that's how it happened

Xisuma, that flying machine can break if the kelp or sugarcane grows right when it's in front of the observer; it should be covered by a solid block to make it reliable.

@@junoantaresofficial To the best of my knowledge: The server can only have so many mobs spawned at a time, so what you do is build a machine that moves the maximum number of mobs across a chuck border and back. You use an automated chuck loader to keep the chunk active, so it will constantly load the maximum amount of mobs, so that any other loaded chucks will be unable to have naturally spawned mobs. The way the switch works, is you use the machine to move the mobs into an adjacent chunk not affected by the loader, when the player leaves the area, the mobs are unloaded, allowing mobs to spawn normally in player-loaded chunks.

You can't truly shut off an iron farm unless you do two things; prevent the golems from dying and keep them within range of the villagers that summoned them. If you don't do that all you can really do is put the farm into idle mode, you'll still get the occasional golem even when the villagers aren't panicking.

There should be an entire Hermitcraft season where everyone from Hermitcraft works on this one MEGA BASE, everyone could take part on different parts of the base. (some people could work on the terraining, some other people could work on the redstone stuff, maybe some others could be the ones designing the mega build, and of course the majority of people would just be working on the actual building of the base, ETC.) I'm not sure if this idea has already been brought up but I would love to see this happen.

While that item sorter is a really cool multi item sorter, rapscallion has a design for a 1wt item sorter thats more lag-friendly and faster. Its basically what cubfan built in his pyramid base but 1wt.

Blast resistance was added for when you are fighting multiple withers. If one does and drops a star the other living ones would have destroyed it

If a wither were in the air when it died and the star dropped down into an area it had already fired a skull at, the star would need to be blast resistant.

The blast resistance is to protect against the projectiles. It is possible to have the wither shoot a projectile, and then you attack and kill it so it drops its star, and then the projectile hits and causes an explosion. That had the potential to destroy the nether star, and is something you really have no control over. Making it blast proof means that wont be a problem.

The game does get easier with time in many regards, but the new caves are muchhhh harder to navigate and light up than the old ones. 1.18 mob spawn changes helped mitigate that a lot, but it's still quite scary to run around a cave that requires 20 stacks of torches to light up. :D

While I'd love to come on your server to do some builds, I'm very busy with FFXIV, and a few other games, including some old PSOne to PS3 Classics I haven't played in a while to keep me busy. But I'm glad to see a lot of people taking the initiative to build and whatnot. I've been playing since Minecraft 1.7 Beta, which means I've been through at least two world height increases. It amazes me to this day how creative people can get even with the limited amount of height we had back then. Maybe Some day I'll be able to grace the Xisumavoid server, but it'll likely be after 1.19 or even later.

Having seen how short order golems can make of withers I'm not even sure I'd bother with making them. I'd just make a way to turn off the kill feature of my iron farm and kill the wither directly underneath it, since you only get 1 iron from killing a golem but it takes 36 iron to make one. The only downside is that naturally spawning golems will attack you if you punch them, but they are so good at killing you can just stand there. Withers drop their nether star whether you help or not. You could even have a lever to toggle the golems dropping in to help you on and off. I have a crazy idea for a villager villager farm/trading station/raid farm/iron farm/golem farm-wither killer/witch farm, where I make witches by hitting villagers with lighting.

Withers explode on death in Bedrock edition, but truthfully, I'm not sure if they drop the star before or after. It's crazy to see how leisurely the wither fight is on Java. Just hang back and eat from time to time. No urgency. Just observe the fight. In Bedrock, 1 wither effect is a death sentence even with max gear. Prot 4 doesn't offer any resistance to the wither effect (to be be fixed in a future update).

Not only does the game get easier over time, but the players get better too. "Oh yeah, I'm just going into this wither fight with fully enchanted armour and weapons, a golden apple, health potions, and in an new area to fight it in where it can't destroy the surroundings or move around as easily." Wither fights aren't as easy if you show up in diamond armour with whatever the enchantment table gave you on the surface of the world. Or if a person tries to fight the wither underwater in an ocean or something. I'm sorry Xisuma, the game didn't get easier, you got better.
