To those wondering about the Momument, it’s something that occasionally happens. I believe it’s caused by multiple monuments spawning successfully on the same location (why this happens I don’t know). This is something that has been in the Game for quite a while at this point. This can cause a whole bunch of extra interesting things to happen such as an Extra sea Entrance to spawn meaning you have two. There can also be more sponge rooms in such monuments. Also it’s why there are 9 elder guardians in the Momument X found.

It may be more than something that "occasionally happens." it happened to impulse earlier this week. Once would be a weird bug, but twice so close together seems like somthign actually got messed up. Perhaps this occasional bug is somehow being triggered, hopefully they can figure out why.

i enjoyed the litematica behind the scenes part, would love to see similar processes for some of the other features you have on the server, like how you make and add the custom hats (scar ears, hermit eggs, etc), and the custom foods (scar cookies, bone "meal")

@@sortfaar3 Litematica isn't on the server, it's a client side mod. The hats, custom cookies, tree costumes, creeper costumes, etc... are a server side datapack that allows them to change the texture of an item (e.g. a carved pumpkin for wearables and chorus fruit for Scar's Elven Kisses) by running a quick command that gives it unique NBT data that correlates to the custom texture.

I enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes of making a farm and just in general. It is how I got into the technical side of Minecraft and many other things. Plus when it is in a let's play, you get introduced to new things. I knew of the 3D biomes but hadn't really done anything involving them. I didn't know the MiniHud have the ability to show 3D biomes now, and I bet it will be helpful in the future. So thanks! For that and the videos in general. :)

if you replace the iron trapdoor over the hopper in the squidfarm with a campfire the squids dont despawn. if i remember correctly damaging a mob will reset its despawntimer preventing you from loosing drops to squids despawning when you afk

Given that you had 3 sets of guardians, it might be worthwhile checking for more sponge rooms. Sometimes multiple monuments spawn over the top of each other, so you could have had 3 stacked monuments, which could have each put in sponge rooms.

Huh. I think they're an unexpected bug with Ocean Monument generation going on in Hermitcraft, Impulse also recently raided an ocean monument that had at least 8 elder guardians. While it's possible to get multiple monuments spawning in the same place, it's usually pretty obvious that it happened, but to have two separate instances of it on the same server near the same time seems really improbable. It seems more likely that it's something odd going on with the monument generation.

Someone in inpulses comments suggested it could be related to any world pruning that didn't delete the elder gaurdians, but i don't know if they prune any of the overworld the way they keep the outer end trimmed to make end busting less painful. Its definitely something weird going on with their server causing so many elder gaurdians to spawn in at once.

That oddity with biomes changing at different Y levels has existed for much longer than 3D biomes. I noticed it in 1.16 while trying to make a drowned farm in a river biome. I'm not sure why it happens, or why nobody else has talked about it before.

I also had this issue in 1.17 and wondered why no one ever talked about it, and I couldn't find any info on it. My wife and I were playing on a home server and set up our base on a mooshroom island. There were locations in that biome where, if you went up a block or two, it would be ocean, and mobs did spawn. It was incredibly confusing and frustrating until I figured out that certain y-levels around the borders of the island were ocean. I also think they were spawning when just the head of the mob was in the ocean biome. Not sure if that is something that could be useful to know or not.

Impulse had the same thing with his monument he raided, with 3x the guardian fund. In fact, I think he killed 7 in the one monument. Honestly think it's better that way, though still not much of a challenge.

Hey X, instead of using slime blocks and redstone blocks for the underwater tnt trick, you can simply place sand above the tnt and ignite it. the tnt will still cause damage because its inside the sand block

X, I think you can use minecarts with furnaces in your squid farm! You can build a contraption that would fuel those with something cheap like sticks or bamboo and they would sweep all of the stopped minecarts

If you’re trying to clear all the river, you need to also factor spots where it meanders below the water. Biomes are not straight vertical lines anymore, even in the overworld, even with the reverted 3D biomes change. They still meander slightly. (This comment was made during the Timelapse)

I smell shenanigans a foot. First Impulse finds a similar temple even in its placement with 9(ish) Elder Guardians and two full sponge rooms. Now Xisuma has as well. I know it sounds crazy but I swear there are tons of shenanigans going on this season with multiple hermits in multiple ways. Did anyone notice X’s DoomGuy skin is also slightly different? Ah… guess I should waited to comment about this till the end.
