Honestly, I think all of the Hermits are capable of demonstrating great skill and intelligence while also being capable of being incredibly wholesome, yet silly at the same time. That's what makes them the Hermits we know and love.

He got all elements of the puzzle right and when he waterlogged the roots I was getting ready to feel disappointed that the falling sand wasn't gonna be activated and nobody would see that. But right after it, X didn't disappoint and interacted with all possible mechanics of this room Cub set up (except dying trying to do the lava parkour lol).

I've been playing for years and I still get anxious when I'm exploring a cave with several branches and I hear lots of mobs doing scary noises from above and around me behind the walls, even though I'm full enchanted netherite gear and I know they can't do much 🤣 And I haven't met a warden yet, that's gonna be interesting.

I think the copper vein quest went perfectly! You figured out the goal of waterlogging to create obsidian platforms quickly, you knew about the mechanic of putting water bottles into the cauldron, and found everything. It was great to see you figure out Cub's amazing adventure puzzle, though I almost felt disappointed that you got it right so easily and the trap wouldn't get triggered... Imagine my surprise and delight when you decided to get cheeky anyways! I was sitting here like >:D when you said you think Cub overlooked something. Thanks for the laugh!

The Super Hostile series is a classic) Also Cub has made an amazing adventure, it really felt like an old-school Minecraft map but with much better building. And this whole episode is easily one of my favorite HC episodes now, it's so fun. A unique mix of old-school feeling Minecraft and a terrifying Warden chase sequence. What a video!

I really like the idea of building the Nether portal in the same fashion as the over world one. Seems more logical and also makes a visual reminder which portal that leads to which, if you get what I mean.

Man you brought up super hostile and I’ve been rewatching a few old ones like Ethos Legendary and Spellbound caves and even just recently Vinyl Fantasy 2 , I really miss those custom maps! It doesn’t look like too many people are playing or even making those kinds of maps anymore. Huge moment in Minecraft time tho, definitely OG 💯

No, X, no they aren't, they're just for Rendog's benefit, same as how he's claimed pretty much everything in the Shopping District with those Emerald Blocks. Those emeralds are his way of saying "this is mine now". You might want to get in touch with Grian and Impulse and ask about how they're handling the situation.

I really miss the Super Hostile Maps. I re-watch Team Canada take on the old ones frequently. Would love to see a one-off Hermitcraft gets Hostile re-run of the old maps sometime. CaptainSparkles has been doing nostalgia runs of old maps with guests and it would be so much fun to see a whole group of hermits play Simulation: Protocol or Spellbound Caves. Heck, how cool would it be to watch 10v10 hermits playing a Race for the Wool!!

It was fun seeing Cub’s video how he made that mine. We got to see how you were suppose to do the parkour. Glad you figured it out. With both videos we saw both outcomes. Cub is a smart cookie! I think Vechs is still working on a Super Hostile map, or at least a modpack a few months back. When Mojang added custom spawner light levels in 1.19, the first thing I thought of was Super Hostile (the one thing Vechs wanted for years).

I loved Super Hostile back in the day. Vechs FTW. I actually revisted it recently and updated his map "Waking Up" to 1.17. The map still works really well with the new combat system I thought. I've not been able to push it to 1.18 or beyond yet though, due to the world depth changes. It's a lot of work to fix it all, I should get round to it at some point though, I think this has given me some motivation.

The combination of sandstone and cobwebs does give a super hostile vibe, doesn't it? Legendary's early areas were made entirely out of sandstone to make stone tools rare.
