This episode actually makes you realise how much thoughts Bdubs puts into his builds. The process is completely different compared to what other builders like Fwhip or Mythical Sausage do!

when mobs are randomly pathfinding (without a point of interest), they can only select full blocks actually! so that's the only place they can go
@danelix_

If I remember correctly, you can actually use this to lure mobs into a pit in a mob farm. You make the spawning platforms out of slabs (in a way that allows mobs to spawn) and to the other side of the pit you put full blocks with trapdoors in the middle

Imagine a desert update where a new desert biome called "vast dunes" or something like that is added. Just a massive biome (it would be one of, if not the largets biome type in the game)and No rivers can generate and its a massive biome of sand dunes that can have ancient structures hidden beneath. So that if you use the biome for sand for concrete/glass you can get a pleasant surprise.

I always love watching these farm designs with you X! A perfect combination of technical background and interesting survival building considerations (something farm tutorials rarely take into consideration). Sometimes I love watching an hour long Gnembon or Ilmango farm design with endless technical info, but this format is much better for casual evening viewing.

A solution for doing the trapdoors in the wrong order might be leather boots and/or Frostwalker. Leather boots would make it so you didn't have to worry about falling through the powdered snow yourself, and Frostwalker would let you walk on the magma without taking damage even without shifting.

for the nether tunnel towards the nether hub, you might want to consider hiding fences beneath moss carpets, in order to smooth out the steps. If you replace every block directly infront of each step with a fence covered by carpet, you don't have to jump to walk up, as fences are 1.5 blocks high!

The rates are limited by how fast you can move and kill the ZPs. The conveyor+bouncelevator is a bit slow, then there's the kill method with little previous damage applied to guarantee they survive to the killing chamber. Though the sword maybe one hit kill if I remember correctly, so basically the mob moving is slow, but it's more reliable in a server then portal based 2 dimensional farms, I think.

Fun Fact: on Bedrock you can make a no input snow farm. Top snow (snow layers) fall when the block below is removed and if it falls on flowing water it'll pop off as a snowball. It's not as efficient as manually shoveling it but you can have it running in the background while you're doing something else. Here's the contraption I made. Building your usual snow golem cage but with a floor between it and the hoppers, the floor is three more hoppers, one being waterlogged, and a block that'll be pulled out that's next to the water. From the hopper under the block take a comparator output into a repeater (full delay) going into a block with redstone dust on top, on top of the repeater is a sticky piston pointing the opposite direction with the fourth floor block stuck to it. Now all you need is to drop an item into the hoppers, which should all lead into the one the comparator is outputting from, and the system will get going. This system automatically stops if there is overflow and restarts when you take items from it. What's happening: when an item enters the hopper, it tells the piston to extend, putting the block under the golem so it can place snow, when the item is taken out of the hopper the piston retracts, allowing the snow to fall _and_ the water from the waterlogged hopper to flow, the water breaks the snow, the resulting snowball falls into the hopper, and the cycle continues. Note: this only works with flowing water, if a snow layer otherwise falls on a block that can't support it, it just disappears, not dropping anything.

You just turn on the system and the pistons breaks all 4 snow pads over and over again.. 4 times the snow made constantly and automatically by 4 different pistons... You are welcome
