Actually you don't need to kill the ghast in the overworld. To get this advancement, the game only tracks that you are in the overworld when the ghast died. So you can fishing rod the ghast near TNT, ignite the TNT and immediately go through the portal (you might need to preload the portal I can't remember). All Advancement Speedruns will be the best reference for this strategy.

You could model the arrow item, but not the shot-out arrow. I mean technically you could remodel it, but it'd replaced every arrow, as there there's no way to give the arrow specific nbt when shot.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before in other episodes, but the base does have a Japanese aesthetic to it, with the Shinto shrine vibes. You could be a sort of spirit walker, living the the remains of an ancient skeleton (Odokuro). It would fit both the bone theme, and the "new" style

I really like the way the base is coming along. The underground section looks so cool and lively with all the deep browns, like moist enriched soil. I don't quite have a clear image of how it's mapped out in relation to the giant skeleton, but if it's connected at all then perhaps the earth there was enriched by the decomposing giant. I'm looking forward to seeing how you take it in the future.

Oh, it was like watching my attempt at this advancement. Make the portal on the overworld big, and put a fire at the edge of the portal to break the minecart for you. fun fact! if you light a piece of TNT that kills the ghast, while you've *just* gone through the portal back to the overworld, it counts! the game seems to only check whether the player is in the overworld, and whether or not they kill a ghast. you don't *technically* have to bring the ghast to the overworld.

A simple trick to get uneasy allicance is to build a 3 wide spawning platform with nether portals on both sides on the nether roof so the ghast immediately goes through when spawning. You can either AFK at build limit or if someone else is on the server wait in the overworld.

Try making that Ghast advancement on the Nether roof. Build a box that allows 5 blocks of height and only allow spawning inside it. Setup your rails before spawing. It will make wrangling a Ghast much easier. Doc had a device to do this last season.

I recently found a cool trick for the A Great Veiw form Up Here (Float 50b from a Shulker Bullet)! Get shot by one and then eat a chorus fruit while in the air. If you tp to the end island floor it's an easy job!

in 1.19, ghasts can spawn inside portals. go to the roof, build a portal above a soul sand valley, add some shroomlight blocks for extra spawn space, scaffold high... profit. If you want additional insane numbers of skeletons and endeemen, use magma blocks instead of shroomlights. this also increases ghast yield.

When Doc brought 24 into the overworld for the Grian prank, he also handmade the portal on the overworld side so it was bigger and so the ghast wouldn't suffocate in the obsidian

I feel your base has it's own kind of alienesque vibe to it, settled in a ancient giant skeleton and kinda like semi-steampunk alien kinda thing. Build a simple ghast farm on the roof of the nether and a big portal next to it. Make sure that the portal in the overworld also is a big one so the ghast doesn't suffocate in the blocks. Presto!

you don't actually have to bring the ghast to the overworld, just trap it, light some tnt next to in, and travel through a nether portal to the overworld, while another player keeps the ghast and tnt loaded in the nether, tnt kills ghast while your in the overworld, therefor you kill the ghast while in the overworld

I feel like something you did on the hermitcraft server caused mobs like piglin brutes, elder guardians and similars in much higher numbers than they should. I noticed this in multiple hermit’s videos already, maybe you should look into that.

I believe its when they are trimming chunks (deleting parts if the world for lag reduction and reducing distance traveled for things like finding end cities or monuments) the entities with permanance like the elder guardians aren't getting deleted so when the structure regenerates it spawns one in and it already has 1 for a total of 2 bosses where there should be 1. (Or however many times a structure gets deleted and regened without having its mobs killed)

With a bit more prep you can totally make that ghast advancement happen! Just build a ghast spawning chamber on the mether roof, with a system to pick them up and drop them through the portal, and make sure the portal on the other side is big enough to not kill it 🤡 much easier than fishing rods and all that, albeit probably not as much fun 😂

There are so many brutes because the chunks have been reset or reloaded so many times. Like mineshafts have doubled the amount of minecart chests(see Ethos first episode this season) and ocean monuments have more elder guardians too because of chunks being reset.

Tip: make a spawning platform with glass roof on nether roof.. with a nether portal for the ghast to go though. Then nametag ghast, then on other side have a capture box. Then kill ghast

Knockback swords will still do a fair bit of damage, a punch bow doesn't do a lot of damage when barely drawn, plus then you have limited shots
