Yes, I joined in towards the end of season 9, and just in time for Secret Life. It was a good introduction to a lot of the hermits, and it set me up to be able to start season 10 from the beginning (binged Grian, Scar, and Mumbo's season 8 while I waited for 10 to start).

Last season he needed hundreds of thousands of sand blocks to clear out the Perimeter, but the hermits banned sand duping so he had to farm all of it by hand or trade to get it. He's charging sand 1) so he never has to mine it again, and 2) because he's still salty over the no-duping rule and wants to make them suffer like he suffered.
