Etho claims you can't anvil kill a moving target. Flashbacks to season 3 where Xisuma got an anvil kill on a moving target.... himself. He was aiming for Mumbo but failed catastrophically.

The most recent anvil kill on a non-afk player i can think of was impulse's tag on empire's. (Granted he used the wide area and distraction method) And today Gem hit herself with an anvil in her hardcore skyblock but only did a heart or so of damage. The closest to a real anvil kill i can think of is Grian hitting Ren with dripstone in double life.

Etho feels like someone who's been working a job enough to know nore than thebavreage person. Doc is like the guy who went all out and got a doctorate degree even when it wasn't needed for the job. And Zedaph is the guy who's just as smart, but his education was Google and KZbin. (Pretty much a Micheal reeves approach.) All three crazy scientist people. Just different vibes.

Please explain to me like I'm stupid what the right amount of height is? I tried looking it up in the wiki, but the way it's phrased there makes no sense to me at all, apart from a helmet reducing 25% of the damage.

@@alysoffoxdale The first block = 0dmg. Every other block = 2 dmg. After 4 blocks, you have 3 blocks with 2dmg each (first one has 0dmg). 3x2 = 6dmg like the wiki says. So 21blocks = max dmg = 20x2 = 40 (its capped at 40). But its a good question, if you need that much dmg. Also you need to remove 25%

@@alysoffoxdale The way I read it is, 2 damages per block, maxed at 40. So 21 blocks would have been the maximum. I didn't count how high Doc climbed, but it may be close to 20 blocks. I thought less was enough to do the deed, but I could be wrong.

Anvil War sounds hilarious! For a proper Etho vs Doc competition, I think a fast travel challenge could be cool. Maybe add a stipulation that Grian has to use it and it has to work after?

Thats the best stipulation for any redstone contest. "Must be usable by Grian and still functional afterwards" or in simple terms "must be grian proof". Its also impossible.

You should take advantage of the arrow flying through walls: give Scar a stack of obsidian and tell him he has a minute to protect himself, and you'll have 10 seconds to kill him. but he must stand on this one block. He can dig the floors, encase himself entirely, but he could never be safe.

Minecraft should really add a directional copper pipe that works like a hopper but doesn't suck items from below, so you can use them instead of having to cover hoppers with composters to reduce lag.

This week I went back and watched Season 8, and it was incredible. Your roleplay was amazing - my favorite part was when you said "so yeah, the potato must die" completely seriously after talking about redstone, like it was common sense. I've also decided I want to learn about update suppressors so I can bring shadow items to a casual roleplay server I'm on (my character likes dark magic) The builds were incredibly beautiful too. Thanks:)

The next time you need to kill someone with anvils, if you use pre-broken anvils they'll shatter on hitting the target, making them less likely to realise someone's trying to kill them. (although in this case etho was standing on a torch and only needed one)
