I have a challenge for you... We all saw dark, evil, lava Tango. This year, how about good, light, almost elvish Tango. Maybe focus on the lighter colors, quartz highlights, and sea lanterns. I could see your underground city maybe being something like Tolkien's Rivendell.

Howsabout a flooded cavern where you boat around, full of mushrooms and fish and lots of sparkly glass/portals/ender chests? On top maybe a similar design to the top of S5 but a "good" version to balance the evil. An icy theme maybe?

"magic out the water" ... use different shade of blue glass... make floating energy crystals all over the lake. basically a "good version" of your base last season. but then when they fly into your underground base, it's back to all tango evil reds and fire and lava.

To answer your question there is a mix of Burnout on HC S5 as well as he ran into a massive snag on his most recent WhatIf video in the code that he has been working on trying to get around but has been proven to be really difficult.

They were gonna wrap up season 5 when 1.13 came out, it originally was gonna come out like a couple months ago so hermits planned on wrapping up their seasons, that got changed and they didn't really know when 1.13 was coming out so no one wanted to start a big project which quickly created a serverwide burnout with the only consistent uploader being I think Joe Hills

You should make an amazing mermaid cove (not girly but mysterious so you have to dive underwater and it reveals the magnificence) Be lighter than last hermitcraft focus on quarts and the like. What about a tree of life in the middle, pronounced roots spiraling about like an elven kingdom

When you mention an underground build in the fantasy area, I think of dwarves. With your entrance being right next to a lake, I think it would be awesome to try to mimic the entrance to Moria from Lord of the Rings. Looking forward to this season!

Build smaller scale underground lakes for different sections of the base that are connected by wide tunnels with small rivers going through them. The tunnnels should be big enough to easily fly through with elytra.

I like the idea of of a massive slightly organic build through the center having a massive underground world, but with a sort of glass ceiling holding up the lake with a bunch of pockets where you can fly through the lake into the city. Stand on top of you little GIANT island of Glory and Pancakes and look at the lake surrounding it. Imagine the entire thing being glass and the circular almost sand pockets being openings into the underground world

20:20 mumbo did sea lanterns all around his base in the water last season and it looked awesome. If you do magma, the bubbles will drag boats down, but if you do soul sand, the bubbles will make you float up from the bottom

Well, Ilmango has created many tnt quarries in Minecraft, although for that small island maybe the quarry would be useless. Also, just a thought, what happens if the next big Minecraft update is a cave update? If you build a cave/underground base this season, you won’t want to build another one (don’t do what Mumbo did and build an ocean base the season BEFORE the ocean update). I’m not necessarily saying that the next update WILL be a cave update, but I’m just throwing this thought out there, if it even gets seen, of course. Great video, as always. Keep up the good work!

Since you are bordering the fantasy district: How about a massive hollow tree stump on top of your mountain with massive roots reaching down into the water? You would get a tower-like structure as an entry into your underground domain as well as a nice organic and fantasy-like cover for your mountain.

Tango, once you’ve cleared out a section of the underground, you can make a scaffold with dispensers and redstone lines that distributes tnt and blows up the area below it. It can be used to dig really far down with minimal effort.

Construct a giant Elven 'World Tree' on top of your little hill, with roots crawling down the sides. And make glass domes in the lake to let dayligt down into your underground city

at 22:18, theres a section of the island where the island and lake meet which could be mined out to look like a cove and that could be a cool entrance to the under part of the base. either that or build the tower and have a hole going through the middle of it to go down. that would eliminate ladders and elevators but the rocket cost would be a lot

Dwarf mine. You’re underground in the fantasy district, you need dwarfs. And for mining out a large area, flying machine bouncing back and forth, with a dispenser facing down and dropping TNT. I would suggest duping, since sand is probably going to be valuable on a server where everyone is playing with water.

1.13 top tip! Super easy and quick elevator to get up to your "little giant" island: Single water column (with walls obviously) with a piece of soul sand at the bottom and a way of getting in and out at the bottom and top (fence gates, signs etc.)

you could make a wizard tower on the outside, and then have it be a stripe-y tunnel on the inside, so as you fall/fly in, it looks like you're swirling into another dimension.

i think that you should build a very large tree atop the peak of the island. with the entry point in the centre as if lightning has split it. also, new to the channel, me catching the season at the start allows me to keep track of more than one guys episodes haha. im looking forward to seeing more!
