Just finished this book, it was SO good. This dude is such a gifted writer - his prose is incredible, particularly the final section - but the way this story unfolds is a work of art. Could have told this story in a very linear way but he used such a cool technique to let the threads unravel. Awesome, awesome stuff

So glad that Seth is doing his part to spotlight great writing. Carries in the line of previous greats like Dick Cavett. 😀🙏👍

Just finished the book. Stunning work of art. Thank you, Seth, for having Hernan on and helping me to understand a little bit the depth of this novel.

Trust is a rare and incredible piece of work. It's genuine genius. I rarely read modern fiction because it's so disappointing so often, and this one literally blew me away, in the best possible way.

I'm a pencil guy myself. I moved to Germany nine years ago, but I still have sixteen Dixon Ticonderogas that I haven't used up yet. Partly because when I got here I discovered the Faber-Castell Grip, which is not just a pencil, it's a high tech writing implement! Triangular cross-section! Black eraser! Over 10 centimeters of tiny rubberized grip dots! Mein Gott, what's not to love?

I could read your pencil descriptions all day! I love my Lamy safari pencil to match my Lamy fountain pen. The triangular grip of the Safari series fits my hand perfectly.

So happy Seth features novelists. I hope he has Nghi Vo on the show. Her new book “Siren Queen” is out on May 10th. I am such a fan of her debut novel “The Chosen and the Beautiful.”
@EmpyreanLightASMR2 жыл бұрын
Cool title, Siren Queen, so I looked it up real fast and was surprised to see book formula No. 1. I see it everywhere now. That font is just overused. What a shame. Has nothing to do with the book inside, of course.

Hernan held his own against Seth, who's totally loosened up since the pandemic and is almost 2003 Conan-bonkers at times (almost!) and Hernan totally plays off it. So fun!

my guess is that it's a Meisterstück Fountain Pen. There are almost infinite editions of that Montblanc, but his black & gold version would be anywhere from $600-1200...maybe more if it's a limited edition from 20 years ago.
