Celeste I just want to say thank you, you have changed my life, really. I had a herniated disk and sciatica, was in bed for 6 months etc but I was left very upset because before it, I was so active and after I was left like a little old lady. I started to practise your herniated disc videos and from the start, they took my pain away. I've stopped using any painkillers and practise your exercises every day. if I even feel a twinge or if my back is tired I'm straight to your practice. . I've now gone through all your videos but I would love to ask you 🙏🙏🙏🙏 if you could create a one hour yoga class for those of us in recovery, who are better but want to get back to regular yoga being mindful of this injury. It's just a thought and hope but sincerely, thank you Celeste x

Thank you for sharing this!!! I feel like so many yoga teachers have "low back yoga" classes, but they all have a million forward folds. Not suitable for us with disc issues, and I wish there was more education on the topic - especially in the yoga community! Much love to you!

I had to leave a review! Hands down the best herniated disc relief workout I’ve ever done and this was my 5th video. I was skeptic because the other videos were way up in the million views but these views seemed to me small so didn’t regard the exercises as effective. I WAS SOOO WRONG!! After 3 sessions my pain reduced to a 2 and I can even bend forward without any pain or grasping my leg for support. I can’t wait to complete week 1 and progress to week 4. Thank you Celeste for sharing this sequence it was life saving, I can bend pain-free 😊🙏

Big fan of your videos, Celest. I was following a different herniated disc video of yours around a year ago. Stopped doing it after a couple of weeks due to laziness I guess. Never been huge into yoga..prefer calisthenics, biking, some weight training, etc. But at 31 my herniated discs are really starting to bother me! I've worked this video into my nightly routine and let me tell you, my hamstrings are screaming at me by the end. I'm taking things slowly and will progress to week 2 when I'm ready but until then this has been great for me. I can already see a difference in terms of how much steadier I've gotten on the move where you point your leg back and raise your chest, especially when I was pointing left leg back my right leg was shaking so bad I would keep falling over. Thank you so much for sharing these videos..you're really helping people with your routines.

Welcome back, Celeste! While I don’t have herniated discs now, I do have C spine and L spine fusions, so I enjoy these practices to keep my unfurled discs healthy. As a previous person commented, I would LOVE a practice dedicated to pain in the c spine and t spine. Thank you for all your compassionate, hard work in helping us!

I have to say the same as most here... Thank you Celest! My herniated disk caused numbness and weakness in my left leg muscles along with pain and I haven't been able to have proper treatment yet since its happened just before the pandemic hit 😓. Yours are the only videos where you take the time to explain and are cautious of the issue your viewers have, so you teach us how to move better in general. Ive been practicing with you for a few weeks now and I feel incredibly different and stronger; happier in general because such a lingering pain is damaging to ones mental health too! Let alone that the doctors prescribe such painkillers! It's a terrible cycle.

I am on day three of doing this and wow! I slipped on ice during a cold spell and didn’t think much of the ache in my back until I woke up the next morning and I could hardly even turn over. Googled during the day to then do this the Tuesday evening. Such relief (while also being accompanied by the good-grief are muscles even there ache 😂). I am sure an audience would have found me hilarious as I did the occasional wiggle trying to figure out just what my spine and bum where doing back there. I am so unaware of my own body I couldn’t believe it. Thank you for your patient and calm approach and constant reminders during the video. ❤

Thank you so much for this series. Everything I had been doing was having be roll up and down to "protect" my lower back but it was making it worse. I would buy a full length yoga (45-60 min) for this issue.

Question: when doing the back extensions and specifically at the end when asked to engage our glutes, should we focus on actively trying to not engage our quads or should we also be engaging our quads? Not sure if you’ll see this but thank you so much for these classes. Suffering from 2 severe disc herniations and hoping I can gain something new from your methods :)

Hi Celest, I want to thank you SO much for all these amazing videoes, that are just lifesavers! I only find that the stretch of the back of the legs in this video is very risky for people with a herniated disc (I would do that stretch in a high lunge with the back heel down instead) and also the core exercises lying flat on the back lifting the leg in the week 4 video seems risky. Otherwise, I just want to thank you again for being such an amazing teacher, and just ask you one question: Do you feel that the yoga breath or the pilates breath is better for this kind of training? (I'm a yoga teacher myself, but I have a sense that the pilates breath actually activates the core better..)

Hi! Are these exercises for all kind of spine herniations, or mostly for lumbal part? I have cervical herniated disc. Ehat do you suggest for me? I am an advanced yoga practicioner and do not want to give up my practice :)
