My idea for the Hero after hearing the powers was a fancy-dressed man who walks along walls swinging a cane around, talking about spirits and the afterlife. Not quite a caped hero, more of a Doctor Strange figure that exists in the same universe, but they do ghost crimes and solve ghost disasters that go unnoticed.

Episode idea: Genre swap telephone! sometimes its funny and i love joke repetition (the sonic saga is funny every time because it always adds something new) but for me i think this one felt too far from the prompt to be a satisfying "yes and" for the effort jacob put in, and too predictable to be a comedic kinda "no but", so it kinda hit more just like "no and here's my kink" in a way i didn't personally vibe with. probably wouldn't have been as noticeable if it weren't a two-person ep though

Hi I just wanna say that I am so excited for Drawtectives season 3! I live each day of my life waiting for the season to start (but not rush uwu). I just finished college and am moving to NYC in a couple weeks. Have had a few dark month but I’m still kicking. This gang has got me to actually start marking art/taking it seriously and it’s gone super well. I have already had a few pieces exhibited! I like the character Jacob came up with. Nathan’s wall ouija (Waluigi) joke was very funny to me. 😄 And ever since I saw Julia draw a good Wario on one of their streams, I’ve wanted to see her do more Wario and also Waluigi. I was very excited to see Karina draw a villain to Jacob’s hero.. But she drew a cool villainous Bugs Bunny instead. Which wasn’t what I had hoped for, but still is very much on brand and what I should have expected, honestly. And it did end up being really cool. So while my hopes were dashed, I still very much enjoyed the art and episode. Also I could see Karina’s prompt make a fun character. Someone who can use their animal manipulation and chaos vision to set up and trigger excessively elaborate Rube Goldberg like chaotic domino and butterfly effects that end in catastrophe. I imagine them as a villainous artist, who schemes to make the most elaborate plans for making chaos. Just for their own twisted amusement and with reckless and full disregard of everyone else.

I also tried to come up with a character based on Jacob’s given prompt. But it was a bit hard to combine into something, I think. At first, just like Jacob, I thought of The Exorcist too. Then I thought of the Wall Master monsters from the Zelda series (the shadowy hand creatures that drop from the ceiling and try to grab you). But ultimately I thought of the monster Wall Shadow from Yu-Gi-Oh! as a close and good inspiration. I imagine a hero who can fuse with the spirit world and the real world. This makes them able to channel and fuse with spirits, so they can consult spirits and learn new info about things, people, and places. But instead of “climbing” in the traditional sense, I imagine they can also fuse with the real world, and then “climb” by moving through matter. For instance just climbing a wall by fusing into it and appearing on top of it, or even just moving along the surface of environment in the real/physical world at good speeds (it’s a stretch, I know, I’m just trying to have fun with it. ;p) I also imagine them as a Batman-like hero or anti-hero, who consults the spirits to solve cases and gain intel. And who can zip in and out of matter to run circles around opponents, as well as easily break into and out of places and situations. And since the inspiration I thought of was Wall Shadow, maybe they would even look monstrous like that creature, and therefore be somewhat misunderstood or feared, in spite of having a fully or mostly fully human demeanour. Such an appearance could also maybe give them access to claws or teeth as weapons? Or at least be good for intimidation and scare tactics (kind of like how Batman does). Also, this character concept’s vibe reminds me a bit of the night creature Isaac speaks with and offers berries to in Netflix’s CastleVania show. “Haah.. Memories..”
